Now I don’t have to work hard on TV or Workouts I have found myself with more free time to have fun.
Recently I received a truckload of eyeshadow palettes and got a bit overwhelmed with all the colour combinations to try.
The colours are brilliant and the pigments really bright.
I’ve been using them with a new lipstick that complements bright eyeshadow really well.
I like Sh22 Cafe Au Lait.
Then add loads of gloss and glitter, I have to stick to my natural lipline though as I look awful otherwise.
You either do red lip and pale eyeshadow or pale lip and smoky or bright eyeshadow to create a balance.
I’m therefore opting for the pale lip with my colour experiments.
As I can’t load photos to WordPress thought of loading the images to Pinterest instead.
The first look is Tropical Makeup Look.
I tried to remember what I learnt in art class.
I started by priming the canvas, sketching an outline then building up a base to paint the colours on.
Then I went mad, had fun and experimented.
These are some of my favourite colours I use in Graphic Design or did use.
I think they didn’t match my clothes very well.
I’m sort of using the same clothes now so suppose I need clothes to match my eyeshadow looks.
I don’t suit a lot of the makeup tips out there so invented this to suit me.
I need to blend more but it took me hours to do what I did.
I realise I have been doing makeup to suit someone else, I get really confused with it all.
One of the main problems is fashion aimed at just certain women rather than relatable models who have the same problem areas as yourself.
I can’t load the finished look up as WordPress won’t let me load up images.
Will be trying out different combinations and having more fun so thought it would be good to load up the colours for each look in case I want to do it again and forget.
I need to think of a 50’s look but without red lipstick as I obviously don’t suit it.
Got a fun idea.
Think it is about summing up inspiration about the 50’s rather than copying it when I haven’t got a 50’s figure; a lot of women didn’t so reason why fashion in the past didn’t work and made some people miserable.
Tropical isn’t particularly 50’s I don’t think.
You can obviously do any look you want now so hope my ideas jolly you up if you are fed up with 2026 as me.
I’d go out in this look as I don’t care what boring people think.
If you like the colours but want it toned down you can use it thinner and use the blue as eyeliner on your top and bottom lids.
I’m having my second childhood and discovered a Barbie who looked a bit like me last night.
Really not sure how that got through the radar or whatever, but she is ace and hasn’t got anorexia.
I just want to live again and have fun so putting my efforts into that now.
If you forget about 50’s figures and concentrate on culture there are loads of inspirational ideas.
We are still having the 50’s party at the end of the month if you want to join in too.
Will keep experimenting with eyeshadow and a nude lip as it is my new toy at the moment.
Sent from some crafts off the lifestyle calendar this morning ~ would be great if I could create stuff for each party ~ would absoloutly love that.
Felt hopeful crafts might be coming back ~ the ones I like, as purchased a cross stitch kit which looked good.
The Lifestyle Calendar and End of Month Parties are still there ~ I think we must be allowed some amount of fun still.
Had to load Food and Drink up in its own file also.
Conclusion
We love our weekends now and eating and drinking.
Perfume Junky is on Lifestyle Calendar now so hoping it still works as well even though it won’t always be Saturday now.
I still get hauls so will share what I get and hopefully you might like my choices.
Trying to get hauls from more expensive places as realise I’m a bit of a skinflint so it would offer my choice and price ranges.
Will hopefully then fill the gaps created on Lifestyle Calendar by boring American lawyers; to be honest it might of been someone making money out of fair use but then it has ruined it for everyone which isn’t fair.
I don’t make money and don’t want to, I actually pay for some of my social media and enjoy putting entertainment together for us and other people interested.
Hopefully WordPress will be fixed soon and I could then plough on with adding Interior design to the Lifestyle Calendar.
Added a facial and got some hair products I’m repeat purchasing that I would like to share.
It has been hard for me to adjust to shopping on line only but I’m starting to turn the other way now and prefer purchasing some products on line.
Hope the Lifestyle calendar is useful to women like me.
I’ll never sell out or make money from it so it should be allowed to stay.
I’m just Saphire an average women trying to get by from day to day.
You are welcome to the 50’s party if I’m allowed to do it.
Would be great if fair use came back or some kind of guideline that allowed bloggers to create their weekends and have fun if they aren’t making money from it; if anything it helps sell films and forgotten TV or music.
I’m a bit nerdy so I will probably always do this sort of hobby.
I don’t look like a model either but I’m the type of woman models are selling to so am allowed to purchase products and have fun looking as glamorous as I can manage.
