Sunday day Out/how the fitness calendar works/easy plan to success

During Covid fitness came to an end and we were told to do dangerous ballet dancing instead. If someone wants to be a ballet dancer that is their choice, but I like fitness and from what I was observing these teenagers had learned ballet from being toddlers and were telling us basic ballet was actually advanced ballet moves. From a humorous point of view, they were guffawing at overweight twenty-somethings and above as we obviously failed when attempting it. From an intellectual view, it was downright dangerous. I injured myself really badly. Luckily I am recovering and have found fitness experts I have been learning from. As I’m not an expert on fitness I rely on the fitness industry for how to exercise safely at home on my own.

Last year I started a slimming calendar to share my fitness journey with other women during covid.

When I injured myself I responsibly deleted the calendar worrying someone else might get hurt with my blundering attempts.

This year I launched it again and have confidently found a formula that works; mainly just follow experts who have track records in the fitness industry and don’t follow amateur dance videos with no fitness training background.

My own experience of fitness and tips

Sunday day out.

By discovering Zsa Zsa Gabor it is simple darling. The change occurred. At first all I could do was one walk a week ~ Sunday day out. This got my my foothold. If all you can manage is one 30 minute walk a week ~ do it!!

Zsa Zsa reminds us we used to be fit, think of things you used to do to stay fit and healthy.

Endurance training

Once I added hillwalking to my one day out a week, I cracked the fitness code. That is how I stayed slim pre covid. Walking home up the hill, purposefully hillwalking. Taking the stairs instead of the lift and so forth.

Full Circle

Ater all my bad experiences, through endurance training outside I feel strong enough to dance. Dance with proper fitness coaches though ~ who are trained to teach beginers or people who can’t dance just a few steps enough for us to get fit. I have the two left feet syndrome so will put my findings in the slimming calendar for you.

Personally I have no desire to be a professional dancer. In films from the 50s most people new a few dace steps to do socially but danced just socially. The professional dancers had a separate turn on the dance floor ~ usually when the blokes left to go on a pub crawl lol!!! I would of joined them as I find professional dancing boring.

Really hope this helps you till professional fitness comes back. Will leave the slimming calendar online this time as it might have a tip you want to refer to again.

How to climb the fitness level when you haven’t exercised for a while

Leaving out all my mistakes I can now confidently show you how to get back to being fit after covid or a long break from exercise.

N0 1 ~ Elizabeth Taylors tip ~ you will only loose weight when you feel ready so however much anyone tells you, the decision is really up to us.

No 2 ~ Paula Baldwin ~ It is alright 12 year old ballerinas telling older women the splits is a beginners move or dancing fast is easy. Paula shows you how to confront all the hype and laughter from bitchy ballerina types. If like me you ended up sat down for a few years either recovering from illness or covid restrictions. Your first realistic goal is to just move. We found it hard to move our arms and striding can be quite hard also.

I started doing these exercises every day and only these.

During my attempts to get fit I returned to these a fair few times.

If you don’t need to loose weight these are enough to keep you supple and safer than 80’s aerobics which Paula was fed up of. In the long run looking back she was actually right.

The Dors diet – counting calories is the only way to loose weight. If you are painting weight or not slimming it is a good idea to stop counting calories but continue eating healthily.

No 4

Zsa Zsa Gabor ~ strength train 2 to 3 times a week, then one 30 minute walk a week. As I was bullied for having poodle arms not quite managed to get strength training back yet, but the walk has turned my fitness level around.

As I’m fat burning at the moment decided to concentrate on that, but when I’m ready will introduce strength training.

Hill walking

Discovered this is called endurance training

Also called aerobic exercise, endurance exercise includes activities that increase your breathing and heart rate such as walking, jogging, swimming, biking and jumping rope. Endurance activity keeps your heart, lungs and circulatory system healthy and improves your overall fitness.18 Jan 2024

Endurance Exercise – American Heart Association

This has worked wonders for us and my walking partner has started to loose weight also. I have been jogging up a really little snicket and it has just done it for me.

Last week I did a few laps jogging round a tree.

Make little running tracks for yourself outside

It is better if it is quiet, the track I used usually is a car park so will have to reconnaissance this idea for April.

Sort of realised it doesn’t matter when or how you do this sort of exercise as long as you are doing something and weekly.

I used to love running at school, but you might like tennis or swimming and so forth. If you find something you love doing this is the key Zsa Zsa Gabor points out.

Walking is my most favourite exercise as it is the one I found easiest to maintain.

To be honest if you love dancing you should take that up again as it will keep you fit.

No 6 walk at home

This is a really easy way to get your fitness back

Start off with 1 mile 2 to 3 times a week.

less haste more speed

My mistake I made at first was trying to start off were I left off. This didn’t work for me and just resulted in sports injuries. If you start off slowly you will get there quicker. Enjoy yourself and ‘know’ you are going to get back there. Just found out the body needs adjustment time so as you are loosing weight and getting fitter you will experience annoying periods called plateaus

When the calories you burn equal the calories you eat, you reach a plateau. To lose more weight, you need to either increase your physical activity or decrease the calories you eat. Using the same approach that worked at first may maintain your weight loss, but it won’t lead to more weight loss.

12 Simple Ways to Break Through a Weight Loss Plateau

Why has my weight loss stalled?

It’s one of the most disheartening and frustrating things that people on a weight loss journey experience, but it’s completely normal and actually good to experience a weight loss plateau. It means that your body is adjusting to its new, reduced weight, and needs to recalibrate in order for you to carry on losing.

Why Does Weight Loss Plateau? | How to Push … – myBMI

Quite glad I found this info as my weight has one down really slowly. People making click bate videos on you tube offering fast track weightloss ideas really don’t help. The slimming calendar will support you through plateaus as I’m better at finding proper experts now and I will keep it calm and stress free for you. Think you have to take Paula Baldwins advice with people making things up and just ignore them.

This week I discovered my Sports bra straps were looser so even though I had no weight loss yet again I realise I must be altering. Had to find an old cami top to work out in as I was so hot. Got into an old size 10 h and m one. Really pleased with this progress. Not where I want to be yet, but know the slimming calendar works now.

My walking companion has got back into his old army clothes and is so much happier.

If your a man trying to loose weight you will find it a lot easier than us women so you should really try the walk one day a week and the dors diet. Also there are men on the Zsa Zsa gabor video so you can get muscles without the bullying I had.

Get your husband or boyfriend to try it out if they need to loose a bit of weight. I don’t feel safe walking on my own so it is a good excuse to get them involved lol!!!

Conclusion

Really hope these slimming and fitness ideas help. I have experienced a really steep learning curve working this out, but glad I have. You won’t have to go through any of that if you feel like trying this out. To be honest you shouldn’t have to and the whole covid fitness thing has been disgusting in my humble opinion.

I’m not a fitness instructor but I survived poseur gyms by doing my own thing. Happy to share my idea of fitness with you. I did a year on a performance, community course and qualified so I have a bit of an idea and can tell the difference between trained experts and amateurs just setting people up.

As far as I know the proper fitness industry is coming back so will be doing that then.

This advice might still come in so will just keep doing it during the transition phase.
