JANUARY Lifestyle Calendar

1 January

While you are planning enjoy the last day of Liqueur, with your game bird cooked in bacon ~ if you are celebrating New Years Day.

Final day of 8 days of Liqueur

Have monthly and Yearly Interior design goals like your slimming maintenace diary.

2 January

Just noticed how close I am to my old size. Join me in Not so dry January and.
‘Make your gain
to get in Balmain’
by the 70’s party at the end of January.
(sort of rhymes).

Actually my goal has changed this year but want a smaller waist size.

With my new goal and the fashion calendar would have to take this jacket in.

You purchase by your widest part and take in the rest.

Make room for all the new stuff you will be purchasing in 2026.

If it is over 5 years old and you don’t use it consider throwing it.

If you can alter it or re use it throw it in an aleration bag or box.

Another way of looking at it is don’t collect it, get it used up within the 5 year parameter.

3 January

Feel confident to say this as tried it out last year and it works.

Check sell by dates

If it has past its sell by date throw it.

Bought something to try and never got round to using?

Finally try it and see if you like it.

4 January

Tidy your drawers and storage boxes.

Get round to tidying any messy drawers.

Priorotise items you use the most so they are easy to find.

Sometimes messy drawers are full of stuff we don’t use very often and the stuff we do use are packed away somewhere.

Pack away the stuff you don’t use and put the stuff you use regularly in easy to access storage.

5 January

I used to go for arty and calm.

Now I’m thinking about Yellow as it boosts minds in winter.

Arty was classed as bad taste so I then went for a feature wall in a bright colour.

Paint seems to be coming back so I’ve ordered some test pots.

paint

Just got started here ~ need to order yellow next ~ will let you know how I get on.

6 January

You might have to try a few till you get the one you want.

SPRING WILL SOON BE HERE, SO WE CAN GET FIT OUTSIDE, JUST BY BEING OUTDOORS MORE. THINK OF ALL THE VARIETIES OF FLOWERS YOU CAN GO AND LOOK AT. MAYBE TREAT YOURSELF TO SOME FRESH FLOWERS FROM THE FLORIST OR M AND S.

Discovered I’m quite canny with money from observing my ideas. Even if you have money you might want to be carefull with it.

I got told not to look at the price of things, but I’ve gone back to being canny.

I’ve noticed you can get good prices with designer products, but also great bargains with high street products.

You need to think what you are doing and jot down your layout and blueprint.

Samples are obviously the best place to start as they seem to be free.

This is actually a sales technique I learnt as a holiday sales rep. Think it crosses over well to slimming. What is negative though? Sometimes positive people tell us things we don’t want to hear especially with weight loss. With cancel culture and body shaming it is all too easy to choose the smiley easy route, but deep down inside we know who are true friends and good people are. Just takes time I suppose. Hopefully all this mess will get cleared up and people like us can move towards a healthier life and future run by positive leading lights.

This tip is as old as the hills but works.

20 January

Tried this before and struggled a bit. Think I understand it more now. Have lashings of olive oil, but it is not enough at the moment. My problem this month is actually purchasing nutrient rich foods. Need to study this. If you already know about this but had forgotten hope this helps!!!

I’m terrible at decorating.

It may save you money in the long run.

Someone did a diy paint effect in our house and ruined the plaster.

Was talking to someone at B & Q about it, he said it would need replastering.

21 January

Wallpaper can be quite pricey so you need to think this through first.

If you are spending a lot of money you want to choose a design you can live with too.

The trend for oversized designs seems to of gone, which was dreadfull.

Apparently it is computerised at the moment which is awful too.

You are best opting for hand designed wallpaper that is mass produced.

I think that is coming back but not sure.

Ideally once you have chosen your look you will get a professional interior designer to do the whole job for you.

They will help you to get your moods right.

You can use the stripes creatively depending on your body shape. Linking this back to a TU stripe shop, where this t shirt came from.

This actually works, I learnt it from a back health practioner.

Alternatively keep them in a journal or scrapbook; then when you feel down get them out and it brings up happy feelings.

I had quite a lot at one point then my camera broke.

Hope to get back into this.

The world is your oyster with paper mache ~ remember to follow the instructions exactly and put down loads of newspaper first ~ preparation and organisation is everything with a paper mache project.

A lot of 70’s looks haven’t actually gone out of fashion, so you might find yourself here. Or you could go over the top. Whatever you choose enjoy!!!! (70’s is my favourite decade).
