August Summer Holiday Abroad party/recipes collection

Have started to collect recipes for Sunday Treat Day; where you relax from slimming a bit, and the end of month parties where you eat whatever you want once a month.

Realised there are a few options for Summer Holiday Abroad Party.

I’m not a chef or a cook, but being a girl I was brought up to help my mum in the kitchen.

I tend to make salad, stir frys or pasta in the week, but I used to cook on a Wednesday and have it installed in me to cook a roast joint on Sunday.

Would do roast pork this Sunday, but we haven’t the facilities here. Apparently it is nice for christmas ~ love a bit of crackling ~ you can have it and stay slim, proved it now, if you stick to the guidelines of pre covid.

I’m going to make this blog into an easy access recipe blog for August summer holiday party; I quite like changing how I cook the Sunday joint, makes it more interesting. Hopefully add more recipes as this goes along.

Breakfast or Brunch

We got this from Sainsbury’s ~ but you could get this idea from any supermarket or deli and so forth.

Italian

This doubles up as the 50’s party

This is a good idea, in the 50’s they muddled it all up

You are just choosing your favourites with this idea ~ which helps if people have different tastes.

German

If you don’t have a day off slimming or want to do German night as a Sunday cheat night

Spanish

French

Greek

I really like Greek, but you can’t get much during covid for some reason?

Just salad and falafel which I really like ~ not day off food you want more to go with it and dessert.

Hopefully add to this section.

Conclusion

I couldn’t remember what we did last year.

Had a browse and realised I needed to collate a blog.

Ideally I would of chosen pork this year, but our life situation isn’t ideal and our supermarket still is sporadic and limited with stock.

Now I’ve studied what you can do realistically, wondering whether to do Roast beef with an August holiday abroad twist.

Will probably have Sherry with 50’s Aperitif.

Possibly have Claret or Beaujoulais wine with the beef.

Have a few gin and tonics

Think we will opt for Black forest Gateau.

I like Jagermeister and the nerd likes Tequilla cream.

Then Swiss after dinner chocolates or german biscuits.

The thing to do is choose what you like best and what you can get.

Unless you can get everything for one evening and prefer that; I used to prefer that but we just have to do our best at the moment.

Hopefully by next year we will be cooking again.

Hope this inspires you.

The clicks go through to the chefs or products, I don’t make money just want to enjoy myself in boring covid times.

Enjoy August Holiday Abroad party.
