Wine Suggestion

Got round to trying this after getting the idea from supersizers do the 80’s. It tastes gorgeous. Really nice in summer, I added ice last week it was so warm.
Great for slimming as it goes further so you drink more, but less calories.
Perrier is so good for you.
We used Mcguigan Chardonay, but you may remember it from the 80’s and have an authentic label.
You can use any white wine and any sparkling water.
You can add lemon and mint also.
I opted for just wine and water and ice.
Enjoy!!!
Got both from Sainsbury’s
Or Claret
Yes, claret, a type of Bordeaux red wine, can be a good pairing with chicken, especially roasted chicken or dishes with richer flavors. The key is to choose a claret that isn’t too heavy or tannic, as those characteristics can clash with the delicate flavor of chicken.
Here’s a more detailed explanation:
- Claret and Roast Chicken:A classic pairing for roast chicken is a left-bank Bordeaux, which is often described as a generous, deep-hued claret with velvety tannins. This type of claret has refined red fruit, subtle cedar aromas, and a good balance of alcohol and acidity, making it a great match for the flavors of roasted chicken, especially if it has stuffing and chipolatas, according to a food and wine blog.
- Other Claret-Friendly Dishes:Besides roast chicken, claret can also pair well with dishes like chicken pot pie or shepherd’s pie, which have richer, heartier flavors.
- Choosing the Right Claret:When selecting a claret for chicken, look for one with a good balance of fruit and acidity, and avoid overly tannic or heavy wines that could overpower the chicken.
- Other Wine Options for Chicken:While claret can work, other red wines like Pinot Noir or Beaujolais can also be excellent choices, especially for lighter chicken dishes or when you prefer a more fruit-forward red.
In essence, claret is a versatile wine that can be enjoyed with chicken, particularly when the dish has richer flavors or is prepared with roasting techniques, according to wine experts.
Browse the wine cabinet for ideas or you could use one from your storage.

If you’ve been working out hard, spa days are a real relaxing treat for you. Have a good pamper and choose a spa day film while your products take.
