Founded in 1865, Mommessin is one of the oldest houses in Beaujolais and nestles at the foot of Mont Brouilly. Winemaker Florent Georger specially selects quality grapes from specific vineyards to create this ‘Supérieur’ level Beaujolais. A superb example of the Gamay grape. Delicious with grilled chicken or salads.

Yes, Beaujolais wine can be a good pairing with beef and horseradish, particularly if the beef is not a very rich or fatty cut and the horseradish is not overpowering. Beaujolais, typically made from the Gamay grape, offers fruity and light-bodied red wine characteristics that can complement the flavors of beef without overwhelming them.

Re edited blog about this play

Now I’ve lost 2 and 1/2 stone realise I should start eating properly again.

I want to maintain my weight, but obviously would prefer not to be on a diet if I don’t need to be.

I discovered I can have a day off on Sunday and still maintain my weight.

What I need to do next is get my 1,200 a day calorie allowance up to:

Maintain weight1,587 100%Calories/day

Worked this out at:

calculator.net/calorie

Click if you want to re assess your calorie allowance.

I originally wrote this blog inspired by a Mike Leigh film.

After trying all the biscuits I like these best.

This was also an original Wednesday Wine night film.

You can use this idea to loose weight or maintain weight healthily,

Quite like coffee so coffee and biscuits is an enjoyable option.

Skinny Biscuit Treats

It isn’t really a chore upping calorie levels after loosing weight, but it says you should be careful and think of it more as eating healthily.

I used to eat wafer biscuits and chocolate coated thins thinking back, might investigate them.

I love these:

They are high in fat, but low in calorie so maybe just for weekends.

Someone skinny recommended these to me.

These are high in fat, so just have as a treat but they are a nice treat and low in calories if you follow the guidelines.

Just discovered Wagon Wheels are also quite low in calories

These aren’t too bad if you just have one.

83kcal per one biscuit

You used to get these in a re usable tin at christmas.

Conclusion

If you have reached goal weight and can eat more calories you might as well have something you fancy.

At the same time you need to maintain all the good work so may as well opt for low calorie treats and be sparing with the ones higher in fat.

A biscuit and coffee/tea is nice after a cold winters walk or coffee/tea and healthy home made fruit cake with uht cream.

Hopefully l will be able to bake again soon as well.

This is the start of some ideas for Autumn and Winter.

This actually works. Just use like-for-like measurements for all your sugar needs. You may wonder why you didn’t use this before once you make the switch. My cakes worked just as well as with normal sugar, but you lose weight. A clean fitness guru might not agree, but it is great for getting off fattening stuff onto healthy stuff in my humble opinion. Then it stops you from getting bored. No one can tell the difference either.

You could make your own biscuits; I’d enjoy that, used to do that years ago with cookie/biscuit cutters.

(Used to make wholefood fruit cake.)

Have a great Evening

Enjoy!!!

Had a wagon wheel on Saturday as a fun treat with my Mcdonalds; was really nice.

Opened the dark chocolate Bahlsen biscuits; I just had one with a Bendicks mint served with coffee and a liqueur after Sunday Dinner.

Reminded me of being at a restaurant, really enjoyed it.
