I decided to try Benefit pore face mask today for a deep pore clean.
I always use a mud pack as my nose is still oily and of late I seem to come out in blemishes more than ever before.
I’m hoping to add this to my spa drawer favourites.
Love the colour and the packaging.

It also works for dry skin, which is sometimes a problem for me these days.
I used to be combination, then a childhood skin condition meant I needed a treatment that I think may of changed my skin type. The consultant thought I may of dried my skin up using medicated cleansers as a teenager.
Whatever after these type of masks, I then need to get glow or moisture back into my forehead.
This mask is hopefully good for blemishes on dry skin areas.
It is also
Non-comedogenic
Non-comedogenic means a product is formulated to avoid clogging pores and causing acne. Non-comedogenic products are designed to be gentle on the skin and reduce the risk of irritation or inflammation.
Why is non-comedogenic important?
- Clogged pores can trap oil, dirt, dead skin cells, and bacteria, which can lead to acne, blackheads, and other skin concerns
- Non-comedogenic products can help keep skin looking clear and healthy
- Non-comedogenic products are especially important for people who are prone to breakouts
What ingredients are comedogenic?
Linseed oil, Cocoa butter, Olive oil, Lanolin, Artificial colors, Tar, Shea butter, Avocado, and Jojoba.
What are some non-comedogenic oils? grapeseed oil, sunflower seed oil, neem oil, hempseed oil, and sweet almond oil.

Have to say I like this mask ~ but why don’t they wax the models eyebrows?
Non aesthetics puts you off purchasing products, I’m fed up of it now like most women are.
You could wax the hairy bits off in two minutes?
Reminds me of the Mary K series when she branches out her buisness to post communist Russia.
Just out of interest wonder if the models are fed up of comedy eyebrows also?
As a consumer I want to enjoy using my products without focussing on annoyance.
Felt like this since covid, decided to write it so ther women know I’m annoyed with it too.
Boots Own Make
I also used a vitamin c under eye mask from Boots own products.
Used to spend hours shopping round the Boots own products as they are really affordably priced.
I’d get what I needed, then just browsed around the shop for hours, spending the rest of my budget for the day on various beauty products.
Found a few of my old favourites.

It has good reviews, but possibly doesn’t work on clinical acne.
I think it is just for blemishes which must be different.
Vitamin C Mask

boots.com/boots-vitamin-c-hydrogel-eye-mask-3g
Product details
We’ve lovingly formulated Boots vitamin C brightening hydrogel eye masks with vitamin C and YUZU extract to nourish and reduce the appearance of dark circles. The masks help to soothe puffy looking eyes for instantly refreshed and brighter looking skin within 14 days.
Hydrogel material comfortably clings to under-eye contours and helps lock in moisture for effective
delivery of serum.
How to use
After cleansing and toning, remove thin film and attach the eye masks on the under-eye area, then remove thick film. Leave for 15-20 minutes and remove the masks. Gently pat the remaining formula to absorb into the skin. Use 2-3 times weekly for best results.
My eyes look and feel better after using these today.
I like most of these eye masks, they firm my eyes up a bit possibly also.
My problem is getting a constant supply as I only order a few items at a time, you really need enough to use them 2 ~ 3 times a week.
I used to purchase stacks of sheet and under eye masks of varying price ranges so I was well stocked in my spa drawer.
Will definately purchase more of these.
Boots Traditional Glycerin and Rosewater 200ml
As I’m trying just a few products at a time decided to add moisture back after my mud mask with this product, another Boots own make.

£2.50
Have to say if this works, this is the kind of product I used to get on my chill out day in Boots.
It feels a bit sticky after applying, but collagen is really thick after applying and I’ve got used to that now.
Just had an idea of what I might be able to do with some Collagen powder that I can’t digest; turn it into a collagen face mask.
I think these sort of products are used in homemade face packs.
I bought this collagen in Countess Dracula October.
hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/applied-nutrition-collagen-peptides
I’ve tried it in Coffee and Gin and I just can’t digest it.
The two scoops just seems too much and it didn’t dissolve well.
It is supposed to be flavourless, but I don’t like the taste and I can taste it.
Wonder if I can make face packs with it instead.
Don’t want to throw it away.
I’ll stick with Perfectil Collagen drink.
Had about 3 boxes of this product now, think I’ll stick with this. It is my usual brand of supplements also.
Need to research this idea more, but making our own face masks might come in handy between postal deliveries of new products.
Also make use of unwanted powders and so forth in storage.
Conclusion
Hopefully onto something with traditional glycerin and rosewater.
Boots was founded in 1849 by John Boot in Nottingham, England. John Boot opened a small herbalist shop on Goose Gate, offering an affordable alternative to traditional medicines.
Boots was founded in Victorian Times, so The Glycerin and Rosewater could go back to these times.
As I found myself in Victorian Times I have to say the Boots own Victorian Lady type angle is what I love about Boots, how a mascara for a Bad American woman ended up in Boots I don’t know?
Queen Victoria used products like this herself and I feel this natural beauty is partly why everyone loved her so much.
I actually like the fact Boots own make is affordable also.
Before I get carried away on a whimsical cloud, suppose I ought to come back to reality lol!!!
I wonder if Bad gal doesn’t mean what you think?
I do like the French addition to Boots and the high end ranges, so maybe I just need to get with the flow of the new.
It is quite delightful to find Boots the Chemist goes back to Victorian times and they are the products I love.
Found a few ideas today that hopefully inspire you.
Feel inspired to make my own face packs again to use with my Boots products.
Will let you know how I do, got truckloads of aromatherapy oils I still haven’t used from Holland and Barrett.
We can’t use our hob, so am a bit limited.
Have had my memory triggered somewhere in this blog but not sure where.
Hope this offers inspiration
Saphire
n.b. Got some more Boots own make products to try, but thought I’d try the glycerin and rosewater on its own today.
