individual Product Testing/trying to Build a 70’s look that never went away as it was so good ~ till now?

I decided to do this, (test products individually), then I read about a new trend to not use 100’s of products at the same time.

What made me realise is the No7 Advent Calendar.

My reviews for the No7 advent calendar have disappeared off pinterest?

Must of loaded it up wrong or it is somewhere else?

Not much point reloading them as I didn’t like the products in it.

Anyway during Christmas I did a facial from the blog and ended up coming out in really sore blemishes that went red and really sore.

Not sure which product did it, and this is why I decided to try new products seperately.

Star Blemish Concealer

Remember this from school, you just cake it on and it doesn’t cake.

Think it was £1.99 when I was at school or from the budget makeup shop.

Really glad I had this as it hid my No7 Advent Calendar Facial blemish.

Still trying to heal it.

Hope someone sorts No7 out as their products used to be really good.

Miracle Speed Facial

In another facial I wondered if a Clarins Product was the Star Product, so have been testing it out seperately.

This is an example where all the products work.

Tested the Clarins product from memory over Christmas, we lost all sense of time like a lot of people are saying.

So I’ve been testing a different Clarins product; one of their facial oils.

Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Bi-Phase Serum 30ml

Product details

Hydra-Essentiel Bi-Phase Serum provides an extra boost of hydration. Enriched with Hyaluronic Acid Complex+ and organic strawberry tree fruit extract, it provides supercharged and continuous multi-level hydration and helps to rebalance, refine skins texture and tighten pores. The Hyaluronic Acid Power Complex+ contains acetylated Hyaluronic Acid which works 13x longer in the skin to provide long lasting results and more hydration than ever before. The non-greasy two-phase texture is easily absorbed, leaving skin is instantly hydrated, plumped and smoothed.

This is a new favourite.

As most women are saying at the moment they have dryness from winter heating.

My neck, ears and forehead areas are really dry, I’ve ordered Aveeno, which hasn’t arrived yet due to the Christmas post and possibly the effects of the postal issues problem etc.

In the meantime I organised my spa storage into different products, The Clarins oil hydrates, so decided to try it on its own.

It has taken about a week or so, but I’ve applied it morning and night to the dry areas and it has heeled them like Aveeno.

I find this product easier to use.

Been using the little samples which I’m going to recycle, maybe for product testing or just storing small amounts of product in my small space spa drawer.

It has taken me ages to test out this one product, but I think I said something similar when I started blogging.

It can take a while and obviously good products used with rubbish products confuse which one is good and which one is the culprit so to speak.

I love this oil, it isn’t runny like some serums I have tried that don’t appeal to me.

As everything is weird at the moment I’m also finding it hard to trust.

Wondered about this as it smells and sounds too good to be true.

Just noticed it tightens pores.

This is interesting as I usually don’t hydrate my nose as it is really oily.

Will it on my pores next, now my irrated skin is soothed.

Will try the other Clarins products out in this manner.

Spa Day Facial

Going to do a facial using Favourite products I trust.

Got some Soap and Glory face masks which I know I’m fine with.

The annoying thing is I used to be like that with No7 products.

I always bought their makeup brush cleaner for instance, but their new one you can’t put in warm water?

The bottle is cheap and rubbish also?

The thing I don’t get is how some ranges are still trustworthy and original, whilst other ranges have been tampered with and ruined?

Hopefully all the complaints will sort out the brands that have been ruined and put them back as they were.

Deciding to build a Frida inspired look for the end of January 70’s Party, with the first find

This morning I was studying the Frida from Abba look.

Then I remembered how much I used to love it and how it never went away as most women love it, especially if you have fair skin and don’t tan easily.

I used to use this lipstick shade down to the bottom of the tube lol!!!

We had this brilliant budget shop that stocked a massive box full of it in loads of different shades, can’t remember the make but it didn’t cost much and I bought loads of it.

Starting to realise you can’t get this colour lipstick anymore?

It is obviously a popular 70’s look that never went away, guess it suits everyone.

I’m starting to think about summer so hopefully this will come back for summer.

It is in Summer Night City, music video.

Think I’ll work on the Frida Bronzed Goddess look for summer, but do 70’s purple for January as it is still wintery.

On a positive note I found I had the purple shade of nail varnish from this 70’s look from my Barry M nail varnish set.

Love this really happy and doing purple for the 70’s

This blog is from last year, it will re publish in the 70’s for one of the 70’s looks.

Love the opi nailvarnish but couldn’t find that shade this year.

Need the Natasha Denona products by the sound of her reviews.

Saving the shop for the 70’s party ~ hopefully get some of the products!!!

Lovely look for summer.

Conclusion

Something is obviously not right in the world of Beauty and Spa ~ too many people are complaining and sharing their reviews.

Luckily Some brands have maintained their quality and we all seem to be moving our custom to their companies creating a new loyal repeat purchase client base for these makes.

At the end of the day my belief is life is quite hard for most women and the majority of us get our pleasure from fashion, makeup, perfume, jewellery and so forth.

Ruining the fashion market takes our pleasures away from us, then what are we left with?

Moving to new brands and retailers isn’t a problem as long as they provide to our individual needs.

This blog is almost becoming an argument.

As I’m not millitant or a campaigner, arguments aren’t my thing.

All I want from shopping is to be happy, share my new finds and take my mind off things about life I don’t like.

I’m trying to get my trust back.

Hope I’ve inspired a few fun ideas, fun is what I set off to bring back when we went into boring covid.

I think people often think of silver platforms, orange dresses and bad taste when they think of the 70’s, Abba in Summer night City is timeless style that should still be here, maybe I’ll collect it for summer.

n.b.

Decided not to do blue eyeshadow again this time, felt like doing something different.
