This is programmed into Weekend TV to air every year now.
Really enjoyed it and felt nostalgic even though it wasn’t my memory until last year.
Sally Geeson Film Makeup
If you are struggling to get makeup as some of it has gone waxy?
I couldn’t help notice Sally Geeson wearing blue eyeshadow in this film what’s good for the Goose.
Just looked up the year it was released was 1969

I love this look, discovered it doing online parties.
It works for blondes as well as Agnetha Fältskog from Abba wore blue eyeshadow in the 70’s.

As far as I know this look is coming back into fashion.
I’ve given up on fashion at the minute and wear it anyway to my parties.
I’m quite overexcited by it, which sounds daft, but it has given me a buzz that Blue eyeshadow is available to purchase and it matches my hair colour.
I think it should come back as it is brilliant.

I’ve been using pink blue and brown from my sleek palette, but this look is just blue.
Did just Blue at Halloween like Season of the Witch.
Blue eyeshadow was obviously really popular for a long time and suitable for different ages of women with different coloured hair.

This version uses shiny white highlight, wondering if I don’t suit this version, but love it just as much.

You seem to team it with a tropical coral lip.
This then leads you into the 70’s air hostess look.
You aren’t limited to just one way of wearing blue eyeshadow, so maybe why it was so popular.

Hope Blue eyeshadow does come back as I’m up to speed with it now.
This palette is probably better for the Sally Geeson look.
Will do this for the 70’s party as it was still in fashion in the 70’s and I love it now.
Want to find out if it is similar to sleek, which you can’t get anymore, (tried for some sleek but couldn’t get it).
Also got this palette, the dark blue is too blue for me and not sure I suit shiny silver.
and this palette
This one is more subtle and better for daytime.
Mind you our house is quite dark and our camera isn’t brilliant, so I use the pigmented ones so the colour shows up in the dark.
Need to experiment with different lighting and so forth.
Conclusion
Will explore colour eyeshadow more as I’m dark haired I have to wear a lot of colour or I looked washed out.
I think you can still learn things about makeup off women with different coloured skin and hair colour, so hopefully trends will come back that suit everyone.
For instance I bought sleek makeup for years that is actually for Afro/Caribbean skin.
Makeup seems to of lost its mojo at the minute.
Hopefully it will get it back soon.
Also noticed older women aren’t enjoying makeup as much these days either.
In Season of the Witch you felt women of any age could dress up in designer clothes and pile on the on trend makeup and be accepted in society.
This is how I roll and what I live for ~ so hopefully revolotion makeup is bringing makeup back to all women.
I seem to have created loads of film and tv blogs so will incorporate the makeup looks into makeup Saturday.
If your bored of makeup at the moment there may be some ideas for you.
Finding it quite fun.
Enjoy your Saturday
