A Christmas Day Menu with a 1970’s twist/End of Month Day off in slimming calendar

Aperitif

Starter

Prawn Cocktail

We will just use a shop bought one

Then just put in on iceburg lettuce and small ready to serve prawns from the supermarket.

Traditionally you serve it in wine glasses.

Main

Turkey or Chicken

We do chicken, potatoes out of ready meals in olive oil, whatever vegetables we can get, paxo, aunt bessies yorkshire puddings and bisto gravy.

Served with red wine that goes with chicken

Dessert

Christmas Pudding

or

Frozen Black Forest Gateux

Port and Stilton

Coffee and digestif

Grand Marnier

or

digestif of your choice

and

Bendicks

or

Famous Names Liqueur chocolate

I chose Grand Marnier liqueur as oranges remind me of christmas.

Christmas Drinking Ideas

Then we will go over the limit a bit with a Jagermeister watching dark folk later in the evening.

Also there will be the first of 8 Christmas Ghost stories airing at 9pm where you can have another liqueur or time it into Christmas Dinner, if you eat later.

I saved Engleburt Humperdinck from last year, so you have a pina colada with that. (Was really popular, noticed loads of other people watched and enjoyed it).
