As I had to go on a Holy Quest for The Elixir of Youth; in Countess Dracula’s October, (due to some of Vichy being out of stock at Boots), my facial spa days have gone disorganised.
After awaiting the products’ delivery, gathering them up, decluttering my storage, restocking and organising it back into order, I realised I’m set up to write facials for you again.
I’m not a trained beautician, but I have sensitive skin that was damaged, but now has been treated. So I have to purchase sensitive products and look after it at home.
I design different facials as I was learning how to look after my skin pre COVID and the idea is to make your own spa day like a beautician.
Miracle Speed Facial
This is to address dryness, impurities, moisture and firmness and hopefully quickly to get facials back up to speed on Tuesday and Thursday with new products.

How to use
Apply Normaderm Purifying Pore-Tightening Lotion across face and neck using a cotton pad. Avoid the skin around the eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly.
(As I’m combination skin, I just use this on impurities. I don’t use it on my neck as that is just normal skin type and this product dries it out too much. It does go straight to work on drying out impurities and is perfect for sensitive skin). Panic bought this product as it works so well.
Mud mask for impurities
I used to use the Loreal blemish algae mask, but it has been out of stock at Boots and I can’t get deliveries from Superdrug. My new go-to is Dr Organic Charcoal mask.

How to use
Open sachet and slide the eye gel masks from the tray. Peel off the thin film and gently position a mask under each eye, then dispose of the thick film. Remove the masks after 20-30 minutes and tap gently under each eye with your fingertips until any remaining product is absorbed. Use 1-2 times a week.

Conclusion
As our skin improves from daily care and facials twice a week, we can tolerate makeup products better, or if you are like me, find the collagen isn’t sinking in.
If makeup art is similar to art, facials are like prepping the canvas or in my experience of art stretching the cartridge paper out and taping to the board.
This gives us a taught smooth base to paint on.
Review of Miracle Speed Facial
This morning my skin is smoother and my impurities have actually reduced. Usually they come up to the surface and look worse, which is the impurities being drawn out.
Not sure which product achieved this, but it is more like results from a professional beautician and the miracle impurity product I was looking for.
Still need to clear my skin more, create firmness, get some moisture in my neck, plump up certain areas, but really happy with these new products.
I used my daily routine to go to sleep and woke up with better looking skin.
Got more product to try out so the more I write facials the more I will discover products that work.
