Had another massive declutter ready for the Halloween party. As I’ve started to use makeup again, tried to remember how I used to store it.
Remembered I kept it in an art case.
It isn’t a new idea, but you may not have thought about it or want to get a new one yourself.
Think Hammer House of Horror jogged my memory as Lolly the receptionist had a vanity case with her makeup in.

The art box for makeup storage makes me realise I am on to something, because why are eyeshadow palletes called palettes? it is like an art pallette.
This week will focus on plastic art storage cases for makeup and maybe boxes for nailvarnish instead of sequins and buttons and so forth
Decided to look at Argos this week and found Vanity Boxes, which are like Art storages boxes, but a bit nicer and customised to suit makeup more than art equipment.
I have a plastic art case at the moment from Hobbycraft, but we can’t get anything from there at the moment.
It has gone a bit yellow as I have had it for years.
It still works though.
I used to have a proper makeup box, I got it from Boots Christmas sale when they used to do the 2 for 3 Christmas offers.
Got it really cheap as it was in the sale and I had boots points.
Those offers don’t seem to of come back yet, hopefully soon!!!

Large Black Professional Make-up Trolley Case
Just Found this which is an extension of the art box.
I think it is for professional makeup artists, but as I can’t get any storage this would be ideal for where I’m at at the moment.
If you don’t have this amount of Makeup you could adapt any space to store other products like spa products or jewellery, perfume and so forth.
This actually answers my storage solution problem.

Once I get these I hope to get my makeup system back.
If I remember rightly I used my boxes for storage, then made what I was using into a makeup bag.
At the moment I’m really disorganized and keep losing products, once they are back in their place I might enjoy it again.
If you want to try this idea out first before you spend so much found one like I have already.

It isn’t as glamorous, but ridiculously good value. I’ve just taken my supplements out of mine and put my makeup back in.
My lip and eyeshadow pencils are on the top shelf.
Then lipsticks on the 2nd shelf and foundation, concealer, etc.
They are useful for allsorts these little boxes ~ love them.
The bottom shelf houses my handmade jewellery.

If you haven’t thought about using an art box to store other products hope this is a handy tip.
It works perfectly for makeup.
If you find an art box too basic and not glamorous enough, the makeup boxes are obviously getting more and more glamorous.
The art case is a good way into this idea as it doesn’t cost much and if you don’t like storing your makeup in a box it will come in for something else.
I’ve shopped at Argos for this project as I can get products from there, but am also hoping to get Amazon again so shopped there too.
If you get your products from other suppliers you may find something that suits you better or other prices.
To be honest I need all this as my vanity cases are falling to bits. One is actually crumbling into little bits.
What I need to do is get new storage and throw the yellow plastic, crumbling pink vanity case and so forth away. I could tidy up all my storage then and feel a lot better in my self.
