Jane’s July/Workout Program/The Experience

I’ve tried this out first, so I can recommend the experience.

This is what I’m doing at my level, but if you are younger or fitter than me you can go for the harder levels, such as hand weights and Jane’s strength training. If this is too much try the entry level. If you did Rosemary Conley last month continue with July’s Rosemary Conley video, (which is a new DVD loading in the July slimming calendar) and try Jane’s July in August or wait till next year. This is where I started. I thought I’d never be able to do this. Also, take your age into account. If this is too much try entry level.

As I’m not an expert, we have to be our own guides.

Monday

Zsa Zsa Gabor

I just do the warm up and the seated exercise. When you have done it for a while you can follow the routine with the sound down listening to a playlist my favorite is this.

extra lunges

This is good advice of how to get rid of cellulite and you can add it to Zsa Zsa Gabor routine, when your ready to up your level.

Standing abs

I do this as I can’t do floor exercises where I am. I bought this DVD off Amazon. It is designed to do sit ups like crunches etc. without you getting a hunch. Love this DVD. I do this after Zsa Zsa Gabor.

I followed the strength with just the aerobic portion of this video and followed the low impact routine.

There is advanced strength training which might be more your level and you can just use one video.

Also you can just use this video all July if it is more what you are looking for.

I try and get this done in one day. You can do cardio everyday, but you want to do weights with a day off in between so your muscle can relax and get back to normal.

The best thing to do is either watch this video first to see how you want to do it or try the whole video on Monday and gauge it from there.

Tuesday

spa day and or more cardio, or you can do strength Monday and Cardio on Tuesday depending on time.

Jane Fonda’s Step Aerobic and Abdominal Workout

I just did the aerobic portion without the step and did low impact. I did finally get a step and have decided to keep trying this routine until one day I will hopefully get on a step again. One thing to be aware of, is I think the 80’s steps might be smaller than ones from 2024, the ones we used were longer. I would say you could do most of the moves, but there were a few I’m not sure about.

If you are particularly wanting to do step and get a step I noticed collage video do more recent step aerobics. I haven’t tried any of them, but I do recommend collage videos ~ try this and see how you feel.

If you are like me and not quite ready to go on the step, I found the low impact really good and got a really good workout.

This video is both brilliant and really professional.

Spa day or aerobic depending on how you choose to do it.

I can’t do floorwork here so you can either just do one video or if your like me and can’t do floor work, I then finish with Lesley Sansone cooldown walk.

(be aware of the man in the hat. He is like an adolescent teenager and not sure why they didn’t edit him out? realise I don’t want to do this video again because I don’t want to listen to his noises? the actual workout is brilliant, but you need to focus to keep going, he tries to put you off?). This is going in the video library as you may not be bothered by him. Also if you are making aerobic videos you can learn from this. If I’d directed this I’d of given him a chance then if he didn’t perform properly I’d of asked him to leave. Everyone else in the video are really professional and are obviously really honoured to be in a video with the Goddess of fitness and Aerobics).

As this is all the videos I’ve found by Jane Fonda I’d replace day three with cardio of your choice from Slim cal overflow or Do the Rosemary Conley Salsasise. I’m going to finish with that so I keep going.

Conclusion

Once you try these videos you can gauge what level you are looking for. The above is my level but may be useful if you haven’t space or equipment.

Hopefully, I will be able to do more soon, but if not I’m quite happy I’ve managed this.

In fact really happy.

When I first saw these videos a few years back they almost frightened me that I couldn’t do them and how much I had let myself go.

Have to say ~ you will get it back ~ just keep going with it.

If you’re not there yet, you will get there.

If you are the same age as Jane Fonda, she still exercises but uses less weights and so forth.

If you’re not sure consult your doctor.

I know we should slow down as we get older, but we shouldn’t stop.

Could do with some sort of guideline for you.

I really recommend all the supplements and equipment that go with Jane’s July.

If any of these videos are too much for you, you may experience an exercise plateaux or wall experience.

Instead of giving up rest for a few days then go back to videos you feel comfortable with.

This is not a bad thing as your body has had a boost and it means you are getting stronger and weakness is leaving your body.

I experienced this in week three.

Hopefully by next July I will be able to do more.

What I plan to do is keep working on the step routine once a week, then maybe doing more gentle cardio Monday and Friday.

Also I went back to quick fit cooldown and experienced a few aches. Not sure why that was, but it does mean it will prevent any injury.

Maybe the way forward with this is functionally fit aerobic step?
