I have even forgotten how to style my hair and wear makeup.
Inspired by this Bagpuss find I am ploughing forward with the adapted gym look. My facial expressions are a bit shocked-looking due to some of the weird covid 19 symbols and photographs, so I practice smiling at everyone on my walks. It is a really popular habit to acquire as most people want to do it as well lol!!!
Whatever politics you follow David Cameron once told everyone to smile at disabled people, most people ignore them which can be quite frightening for them, I know this to be true as I worked in care for a holiday job once. He put that on a billboard. If you remember to smile at disabled people it makes such a difference to them. All the smiling will hopefully get rid of the COVID-19 aftershock look.
Have adapted ‘the gym look’ to ‘the get back to wearing makeup post covid look’.
Done it twice now on my Zsa Zsa Gabor dayouts. The first time it hurt and I went into semi-shock of how ‘bold’ it looked. Today I tried the gym look but my product was so dried up had to struggle and didn’t quite work. Hence this shop.
The gym look that I have adapted
DISCOVERED THE GYM LOOK IN A GLOSSY MAGAZINE.
THE IDEA WAS TO WEAR MAKEUP IN A SWIMMING POOL, SAUNA, WORKOUT CLASS GYM ETC. WAS UNHEALTHY FOR THE SKIN AS THE MAKEUP WOULD SINK INTO PORES.
MOST WOMEN DON’T WANT TO GO OUT WITHOUT SOME MAKEUP ON.
THE GYM LOOK IS:
- A MOISTURISER BUT NO FOUNDATION OR BLUSHER
- WATERPROOF MASCARA
- WATERPROOF EYELINERS
- EYEBROW PENCIL
- NO EYESHADOW
- LIPLINER NEATLY AROUND THE NATURAL LIPLINE

Beat the COVID-19 shock look Makeup
If you too are desperate for some new makeup here is my shop. If you are in America the stores may be different so the idea is to re-stock your basic makeup and practice wearing it again. You don’t have to purchase what I choose, I’d recommend you start off with your old favorites.
(These diagrams are intended to bring it back to you. It is also helping me remember how to do my makeup. You are probably better off copying this idea but filling in your own makeup products. If you like any of the stuff you can order it of course).
Tried my old stuff today and my mascara is definitely dried up, got a bit out, but my eyelashes weren’t very good. It doesn’t really help to disguise my shock look, wearing cakey product. Ordering this to collect in-store.
As I’m just walking and not swimming need more product, but the simple look worked better with shock than a red lip. Just hope if I keep doing it won’t look so shocked.

The best advice here is to use your favorite foundation, noticed loads of wild stories out there, but COVID has only been a couple of years, so you haven’t changed that much. As we get older maybe we should change the product, but mine is fine, just think I may be putting bacteria on my face so would rather purchase some new product.

Conclusion
Hope this inspires you, trying this again without eyeshadow and see how I do, really need some new makeup though to give it a fair try. Like I said earlier this is for women like me still in post covid 19 aftershock, without any new makeup and finding it hard to wear makeup again.
We have found you have to ring your order ahead, then collect in-store, someone collects mine for me till shops go normal again. Have to say if the post goes back to normal there are a lot of products I would prefer to order online. Clothes work better in shops in my opinion as you need to try them on first. Enjoy the advertising online, but also love going into shops and being around people. Sometimes they even tell you how you look!!!
