Have to laugh as have been watching some Thriller tv and horror films, where they end up at an old manor house and have to whip up a meal from the storecupboard.

Can actually do this task myself now because of the covid food crisis.
My speciality is Tuna Nicoise.
At first I found it a bit hard to get used to, like in the Wickerman film; they have to eat tinned food as there hasn’t been a harvest.

The more I eat it, the more I aquire a taste for it.
Will always keep a few tins in now, when food comes back, just in case.
Luckily tuna nicoise is my favourite dinner recipe. Have to wonder if these type of food shortage situations was how it was invented originally.
Think everyone has their own favourite way of making it.
Mine would obviously be with fresh ingredients, but the storecupbord one is becoming a new favourite.
If you are struggling for food like us, Subway does an egg salad. Sometimes we get this and add a can of tuna and some virgin olive oil, really delicious, they cook the egg to perfection.
Hope this inspires you and keeps you full!!!
Tuna is also a good source of iron.
Have put a link below for you to the BBC version of tuna nicoise salad, as their recipes are really good and if you want a proper chef recipe.
