FINISHING THE DRINKS CABINET PROJECT

Before Covid We purchased a cabinet from Ikea with a glass door with a tiki design etched onto it. I chose this as it looked like a tiki bar product from the 50’s Interior Design style.

I didn’t really know what that was but had bought a lot of that type of style from Antique shops in South London and also our local antique shops.

Ikea also used to sell fake bamboo so I created a little 50’s Tiki look in our illegally built too small house.

With Covid dvd players went so the dvds I had been storing in the drinks cabinet weren’t being used.

As covid was so boring and no one could get anything I decided to convert the cabinet back into a drinks cabinet.

This ended up being really successful and we now enjoy monthly parties from it and have discovered Aperitif and Digestif.

I still had one shelf to finish which I did on Sunday.

Had to laugh as the first dvd I came too was the Kingfisher King.

Actually the Fisher King.

I always thought it meant like a Kingfisher bird, but obviously not.

A Kingfisher bird.

The final shelf wasn’t too bad.

Glad I booked in a whole afternoon for the project as storing the dvds was a bit tricky.

Glad I covered my hair.

The extra shelf is just in time for christmas; there isn’t much room left though we probably need a bigger cabinet.

Hope you enjoyed this blog.

Hope it inspires you to start decluttering for christmas especially if you are a blogger or influencer and need to be prepared for your christmas hauls.

It is a relief I’ve got this one done at least.

Enjoy your alcohol hauls, drinks cabinets and home bars.
