ALL DAY SPA DAY/Quick BASIC MANICURE

In the post covid era of the world, certain women seem to of put their platforms in charge of the world and decreed the way it is.

If you are brunette and 5ft 4 and a half, you are supposed to shrink half an inch, loose your posture, get a frog chin, not have any clothes or underwear and not wear makeup. If you want to highlight, go a shade lighter and so forth you aren’t supposed to anymore ~ just colour it black?

This means the majority of women in Britain don’t have new underwear or fashion/new clothes. This is really cruel and horrific ~ would love to know who’s fault it is. Maybe they could at least have the decency to explain why they have done it?

I like doing mine different colours so I know I can go a shade lighter and don’t have to colour it black?

A You Tuber was discussing people who are overworked, thank goodness someone out there still cares.

I think everyone out there at the moment is overworked and it has inspired me to make time for myself.

I forgot how to window in time for myself.

If you are overworked too I’ll share my all day spa ideas and if you like them book one in for yourself.

How to make a Window in a heavy Work Schedule

I’m in such a mess decided to start with baby steps until I get some sort of routine and organisation back into my life.

Where I’ve started is not doing as much for weekend TV.

If a link is broken by Pinterest or a video has been taken down I’m just going to leave it and not go searching for it.

This has created an afternoon off for me to do a manicure.

I grew up doing spa treatments at home because my Mum, Gran and Auntie love doing them.

My Auntie was a hairdresser so she taught us a few techniques.

I have it instilled in me like making a roast joint on Sunday.

A really bitchy woman pre covid made fun of my home manicure blog which I deleted, wish I hadn’t now but the blog site went anyway.

She always went to salons as she was obviously a stuck up bitch.

Not all rich women are bitches so I’m not against rich women, but why she needed to go around being a cow I don’t know.

Re Writing a Manicure Blog I deleted

This is just a home manicure and obviously not a professional manicure blog, but some of us women like doing home spa treatments.

To be honest I watched a blogger who had got caught up in a false nail scam, that happened to me. It also ruined my nail bed.

Then I found a manicure tutorial that taught you how to grow long nails naturally. They are allright now. The manicurist left when covid came unfortunately, like a lot of good tutorials.

Strengthening Nails and Nail bed with supplements After False Nail Problems

I’ve noticed women tend to have their favourite brand of supplements, so stick with that, but if your nail bed is damaged under your false nails I found supplements helped strengthen my nails and nail bed.

An example of a damaged nail bed. The manicurist hasn’t got false nails on her thumb possibly so she can do a manicure on the client.

If you haven’t looked at your natural nails for a while because your in a scam get the scammer to take the nails off, rather than filling in the gap where your nails have grown.

Then just walk away.

I did that.

I started with these supplements and still use them

vitabiotics-perfectil-tablets

These worked for me.

Old School at Home Manicure

At the end of the day the bitchy women was obviously right a professional manicure looks better and is more enjoyable because you just sit there and get pampered. I went back when my nails were cured, but to a different salon and just had a manicure and nail varnish. It was better than what I can do myself. I’d have that done again just not false ones.

Memory Jogger of an at home Manicure

I’m doing this to try and remember what to do and for other women in my dilema.

Method:

  1. Soak both hands in a bowl of warm water scented with lavendar essential oil or a proffesional manicure soloution if anywhere still sells it.

(You can fancy it up with glass beads and rose petals and so forth for a professional pamper feel. These false nails go right down to the nail bed to make the nail look longer.)

  1. Follow instructions on product or soak in lavendar water for around ten minutes. (Just drop a few drops of the oil in the water.)
  2. Dry the hands then cut nails to the same length. I just cut straight along the top.
  3. Shape the nail.

I shape mine almond, but you can opt for different shapes, the French manicure above needs to be straighter along the top. To do this you file it straight, let it grow, file it straight again, then eventually it corrects your nail shape.

(I shape mine like the 70’s as I have almond shaped nails ~ you can see my cuticle so they don’t look as long or wide, I haven’t got a cuticle pusher anymore and I did this in a rush)

4. rub the cuticle cream into your cuticles.

5. Apply the hand mask or hand cream in sleep gloves and relax in front of a spa day film.

Conclusion

My nails don’t look too bad but I could of done a bit of a better job.

Looking for manicure products to do a manicure I realise I haven’t got essential products or products like hardener or strengthener and so forth.

Decided to use the Essie Almond oil twice a day ~ all manicure tutorials tell you to do that.

Need to restock my home manicure storage also.

Really enjoyed this, think it was long overdue.

Hope this inspires you if your overworked too and have let yourself go for too long like me.

I’m leaving this here this time.

It isn’t even a complete basic manicure but it is a start.

Hope this inspires you and if your being harrassed online make time for yourself away from these problematic people.

Enjoy your manicure.
