It has been a while since I did an entry for this Category.
Last year, May 2024, my hair split from using a covid brush
I actually got the rose gold haircolour but still wasn’t sure.
Now it is almost May again it is going on for a year since I wrote this blog.
One Year hair review
This morning it feels stronger and thicker, so I imagine this is from some of the lengths growing out.
Pretty sure it is from eating seaweed ~ 2 packets every weekend.

Seaweed is great for your hair.
I also take green tea supplements every day, I prefer the 750mg that I drink down with still mineral water.

These are my favourite hair supplements that I have taken for years.

I took these for a month and explains the home hairdressing technique I tried today.

I took these for some hair I had broken off or burnt off with bleach.
I have had some hair growth since taking them.
Home hairdressing technique.
I’m not skilled in hairdressing at all, but like a lot of women in England I grew up having my mum cut my hair.
I then went on to do my friends hair.
Ideally I probably need to go to the hairdresser, but only some people seem to be allowed to go to hairdressers at the moment.
This morning I noticed loads of little hairs standing on end.
I think they are a combination of hair growing back and split ends created by the covid brush.
As I can’t do hairstyles I’ve just been trimming the ends.
The frizzy ends have been annoying me as some are fluffy tight curls and others are wispy ends.
I asked a hairdresser about this once and he said you didn’t have to have it all cut off into a bob if you didn’t want.
Sometimes I like bobs and sometimes I don’t.
I can’t cut a bob, so taking his advice I held the ends up and cut off the wispy ends and tried to neaten the gaps.
Then from guesswork I trimmed the short ends best I could, all over.
I did the hair at the back of my head also.
Ended up trimming off a lot of fluff.
I haven’t a clue what I am doing, but the end hope is the layers will start growing out till it is all the same length.
This will possibly take at least another year.
So during that year I will keep trimming the length as it grows until the layers reach the lengths.
It is a bit faffy I suppose, but it looks exactly the same, except hopefully the split bits won’t annoy me now.

I was planning to use this just for my spa days, but it is also an effective daily shampoo.
My scalp isn’t as itchy in fact not itchy and my hair feels stronger after using it.
I used the scalp mud with it also.

Was a bit worried it was mud and might take ages to wash out. Actually found it easier to wash out than conditioner.
My scalp isn’t itching after using it.
I’d recommend these two for your home spa days, if you have hair you want to strengthen and or an itchy scalp.
It takes a little longer than my usual shampoo, but not much.
If you love the product you may want to use it every day.
I might use just the shampoo when I’m in a rush and the shampoo and mud on home spa days.
Going to try more shampoos and probably rotate them depending on time or requirements that day.
Conclusion
Hope you enjoyed this blog.
I think women have done home hairstyling and hairdressing since you could get products to use at home.

Covid made it seem weird or like only the lucky ones could go to hairdressers.
My hair looks better when I go to a good hairdresser, but I enjoy playing at having my own salon too.
If I’m ever allowed to go to a hairdresser again, I don’t think I will go as much as I used to.
I went too often possibly.
In between hairdressing appointments I think I will do more home spa treatments.
Learnt a lot during covid.
Wonder if the short hairs will of grown out by next year?
Hope you like seaweed too.
