Building a summer look/spring clean/getting out summer clothes

Have been trying out the T shirt dress by sleeping in it.

Surprised I got this on.

It is really small, I look a bit too skinny in it and weird.

The neck is too tight.

Guess it is for someone under 5ft 3.

Made a stupid mistake here as I can’t wear these type of necklines since covid.

Have to say I’m not a toned size 8 and I haven’t got a small waist, but I probably weigh a size 8.

The fact I’ve been sleeping in this dress means it is comfortable.

It doesn’t fit on me like the model, but she is 5 8 and I’m 5 4.

I’m not sure I’m confident enough to wear this outside, but since covid I’m not confident anymore whatever I wear.

I think it is a casual sporty look, so would work best with flat shoes.

I’d opt for something with a bit of a heel as I’ve got arched feet, but not a high heel, maybe loafers with a medium block heel or wedges or something like that.

I think it might work with heels maybe if you were on holiday somewhere really hot.

The style of the dress hides my ab area, which I’m still toning, but it does go tight sometimes if you twist and goes tight on apple shape.

As these problem areas are mine and not the dresses fault, all in all I’m really pleased with it.

If it is petite it works allright on me as I’m only 1 and a bit feet taller than petite, so I can get away with this style.

I’d just wear a pre covid style T shirt bra under it and not a padded bra, but for daytime and casual that would be the look I’d go for.

I’m not sure how it looks at the back, but I’m working on my posture and focussing on cellulite on my glutes. Hideous and hideous to admit to, but it worked on my thighs and arms so hopefully this area will smooth out too.

(Have to say the dress is great for sleeping in if you are covered in the creams below.)

This is the combination I use that worked on my arms and thighs, if you are looking for similar solutions.

They are really easy to use, it is just making yourself stick to the routine.

Worth it to feel better about yourself.

I had the cottage cheese style cellulite on my thighs, it is still not perfect but not as noticble.

You can hide your glute area at least.

Not sure what glute cellulite is called but mine looks awful and I want to do something about it if I can.

Declutter

Had a declutter from hell over easter.

Got everything out and realised I had one hour left before I made our easter dinner.

(Hope you had a lovely easter.)

Suppose you have to start somewhere.

Managed to move some storage boxes around that were blocking everything up.

Then threw loads of empty packets away, that I have now restocked.

I found these beige sandals in storage and really like them.

(Would repeat purchase these as I love raffia.)

These might go with the T shirt dress.

Going to order some more of the dresses, they might come in for Janes July actually.

Really like these sandals, tried to get a raffia bag to match last night, need to play around with this basic idea and create a look I feel comfortable in. It did pull in a bit at the waist, which I was surprised about.

Ordered two in black as well.

This is advertising I like.

I’ve got a little shrug cardigan somewhere that might work with this.

The Summer De Clutter Begins

This is a great start, but it needs a lot more work and organisation.

Got the Poplin dresses to try on as well.

Think I need a cleaning day also and wash some of my storage and so forth.

Keep trying for scented drawer liners and sachets, might try for some again.

Then Spa days will run smoother as all your products will be easily accessible.

Also once you work out your summer styling it is easier to get dressed when you are going out somewhere.

Your Shopping will be easier also as you are choosing items to create looks.

It has helped me to write it down and have a think.

As I’m body dismorphic it means I’m not very self confident about how I look.

With clothes not fitting properly at the moment; it is really not helping my problem or building my self esteem.

Getting my exercise up to 5 days a week has really helped my seratonin and it is all I really live for at the moment in such weird times.

(For instance the average sized woman not being able to purchase a bra that fits, when you order 34b you get 34DD, just one of the weird things out there at the moment since Covid. No one has explained what this clerical era is yet?)

We have a party every weekend now, so when I get up on a Monday I get the feeling I’ve done something and had some fun.

Have to be honest and admit, not being able to get underwear that fits properly is giving me anxiety now. If this is a joke that seems to make someone laugh, hopefully they might realise they have gone too far with the joke and it isn’t funny for everyone.
