Found this idea for Sunday Dinner that you just add to chicken or protein. It is by Ainsley Harriet who featured on 60’s weekend. I’m not a cook, but I like cooking and trying new recipes. We are trying to get these for the weekend. Will add the links and review if we manage to get the products. Sorry about the tenuous link but the Mardis Gras free photos didn’t work? except the bokeh. Just noticed some other flavours hope you get them if you fancy something different for a change ~ we do. Then just add a good bottle of wine that goes with new orleans food.

Review

I love the song but had never tried Jambalya.

Loved it, it has more calories than some of the ready meals, so great for the weekend or easter if you do the relaxed weekend ideas.

Have just found the M and S version but can’t find the link.

We get these if you want a low calorie chocolate treat for easter.

The calories are different so you may want to check calories and so forth.

Really nice!!!!

Easter, also called Pascha or Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian festival and cultural holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD. Wikipedia

Date: Sunday, 20 April 2025

The “4 days of Easter” refer to the days surrounding Easter Sunday, specifically Holy Week. These days include Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday, each commemorating key events in the life of Jesus.

Why is Easter on different days each year?

Easter’s date changes each year because it’s based on the lunar cycle and the timing of the spring equinox. It’s celebrated on the first Sunday following the first full moon after the vernal equinox (the start of spring). Because the lunar cycle and the solar year don’t align perfectly, the full moon after the equinox occurs on different dates each year, thus affecting the date of Easter.

Here’s a more detailed explanation:

  • Lunar Cycle and Spring Equinox:Easter is linked to the lunar cycle because it’s believed to commemorate Christ’s resurrection, which was thought to have occurred around the time of Passover, a Jewish festival that follows the lunar calendar.
  • Vernal Equinox:The spring equinox (around March 21) marks the start of spring and is used as a reference point for determining Easter’s date.
  • First Full Moon:Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon that occurs on or after the spring equinox.
  • Inconsistent Alignment:The lunar cycle (about 29.5 days) doesn’t perfectly align with the 365-day solar year, so the full moon following the equinox will occur on different dates each year. This variation in the full moon date then influences the date of Easter.
  • Ecclesiastical Full Moon:For calculating Easter, the church uses a concept called the “ecclesiastical full moon,” which is a notional full moon date, often fixed at the first full moon after the vernal equinox.

AI Overview

Conclusion

Hope this inspires you.

We might have chicken or beef.

We keep trying to get potatoes but we are enjoying diet chips and vegetables.

We’ve been getting these the past two weeks, really enjoyed them, then serve with chicken or beef.

You can serve this with chips or potatoes and vegetables and warm it up with bisto gravy.

I can cook roast dinners, but we can’t cook properly here or get potatoes in our area so we just do our best.

Have a lovely Easter
