2ND WEEK APRIL/WEEKEND TV

At the end of this month is the Victorian party, just added this note if you want to collect Victorian alcohol or aquire decent chocolates.

These are gorgeous, we’ll probably have these, still have some in the drinks cabinet.

Both above and below are actual Victorian chocolates.

The link below is worth a browse if you like fine chocolate with variety of centres, are looking for easter eggs and like English history. Hopefully get some for the end of month Victorian party.

Quite a lot of choice actually.

A double bill of The Shining and the sequel Dr Sleep

The Free Version

The You Tube Collectable version

Might buy it I watch it a lot so worth the money.

We recommend Dr Sleep and felt it worked as a sequel to The Shining.

Ironically you may need diet coke and vodka if you are watching the double bill to keep you awake.

(We are purchasing the Shining this year and Dr Sleep next year. Good idea to watch the free version first to see if you like it; try before you buy.)

Saturday

S01E 09. My Husband Next Door

We usually get the same wines as it is all we can get, (not complaining as we love the ones we get,) but I discovered a wine that goes with sausage and sage at Majestic Wines and it has inspired me to start trying a wider selection of wine.

The cauldron sausages have sage in so will accompany the Cauldron hot dogs really well.

Discovered non meat sausage was actually invented for people trying to loose weight, but obviously appeals to vegetarians also.

Have put one massive order in already, going to order more wines including this one.

It’s rich and complex, with ripe notes of raspberry, strawberry, liquorice and sweet spices. Woody hints and firm tannins make it a great pairing for pork with sage.

I’m not a wine expert, but I can write up an honest review.

Like most people I like food and wine lol!!!

Worth a browse if you like wine, food and drink.
