Have to admit to always preferring what the robot wives wear in this film.
It is my dream to have a beautiful home and beautiful fashion.
I love this film, but never really got it.
Why didn’t the men at the mens club choose a wife who wanted a heated swimming pool, beautiful clothes and beautiful home rather than one who was an activist revoloutionary feminist out to destroy men.
Watching it this time around I realised I could load up the film fashion.
As at the moment, you can only get fairly bad taste fashion that doesn’t fit properly, will finish it when fashion comes back.
The no makeup look in colours that actually work and properly groomed eyebrows
for this look you need hairdressers who do actual hairstyles to come back.

Obviously this fashion is from the 70’s, so it may never come back on trend.
The underlying idea though could still exist today if fashion that fitted all women came back.
As no one wears fashion at the moment, you would look pretty stupid dressed like this at the supermarket.
Also most people avoid the zombies at supermarkets in 2025, if they can.
What this symbolises is the return of fashion, trends and classic style that changes each season.
The future Stepford wife is any women of any height or build who wants this dream lifestyle, being able to go to the highstreet and get the, ‘in look’, in her shop that fits her; all these women are different, but they have a similar look even though there dresses are all different styles.
The Stepford Wife look could be every season if fashion that fits comes back.
It probably will just be when the film comes round but hope you know what I’m getting at.
Hopefully original films of this calibre will come back soon too.
