Glorias fashion pieces and dwindling money stash symbolise to me how much women who love fashion are clinging to their remaining fashion items and beauty products that fit and work, in the hope of the reserruction.

I really like this one, although it is too short for Gloria.
I’d wear this length though.
I love this sort of flower print.
I’m going to get this as a goal dress.
Also I can alter this myself easily.
You could wear a skirt over it and wear it like a petticoat.
Then a see through black chiffon blouse over the top.
Over this wear a Gloria style jacket and Gloria style shoes.
You will get a Gloria ~ esque look then.
Love this style.
Another idea would be to get a skinny fit black cardigan and wear it over the dress teamed with flats or kitten heels for a day out in summer when it is sunny but with a cool wind, where you want to be pretty, but cool and comfortable.
If it is too small the ruching might work on someone my build, without a small waist.
If it is really too tight you could make it into a skirt and top or maybe a longer skirt.

Will be fun styling it with accessories.
Gloria wears the baggy 80’s look, but gets it to look more 70’s, I wonder if her clothes were from the 70’s as that was maybe when she was a gangsters moll.
Also looking back and noticing the film is from 1980, the fashion probably is still 70’s.
This is why film fashion is so complex and exciting.

This will double up for The Carpathian eagle look also, tucked into a black skirt, I wouldn’t wear it with jeans as it looks quite smart to me.
I’d wear it with The Armani tube skirt.
So simple and easy to wear.
This blouse is a wardrobe essential that will come in over and over again.

The designer collar detail will shush up frumpy or old fashioned pieces and give them that designer edge.
This outfit is where Gloria meets Carpathian Eagle, when they visit the graveyard.
Bizarrely I have an F & F jacket with sleeves like this from Tesco ~ pre covid. It was for teaching art in.
It is size 8 and a bit tight still, hopefully will shed the last bit of illness pounds this year and get back into it.
Could do with some new jackets really, the F&F one is a bit faded.

Like how Gloria teams neutral accessories with black, then a burgandy plum type colour top to blend the beige and black.
Also both women are ‘on the go’, and need to look good quickly, conveniently and simply.
These items pack easily too.
You also have built in jewellery with this blouse, less packing to worry about.
Quite reasonable for designer ~ 80 percent off is ridiculously good value.
This is a pleated midi skirt worn with the jacket and neutral sandals.

I think Gloria would wear this as it is unbelievably feminine, but also has a 70’s vibe.
I’m not struck on the sleeves at the moment, but once you get these clothes they aren’t what you think.
I love the overall look, so the sleeves are probably how the ‘look’ is created.
You need some simple strappy heeled sandals to get the Gloria Look.
And a floral feminine pendant.
I think she would wear a silk blazer jacket over it, but you couldn’t do that with this dress because of the flared sleeves.
I think Gloria would accessorise this with all shades of neutrals and tans.
I could take the length up on this if it was too long.
It is a bit harder as it is flared and a little frilly, but I altered the pink one without an iron or sewing machine.
Need to loose more weight also to get into it.

Now I look back Gloria is wearing a grey jacket with a blouse in the same colour as the one above.
Gloria is wearing gold pendant jewellery, I think it is a watch, I’d style this more feminine myself, I think this film is about Gloria getting in touch with her feminine side so she might opt for Michael Michaud jewellery also now.
I’d go in the middle of these two and opt for a pendant but a gold flower or leaf.
Just found this it is a leaf, but also round like the watch.
It is an Emerald so suits Gloria.
It is also fair trade and responsibly sourced.
I also like this one as it is a similar shape to the watch pendant.
Maybe you can alter the sleeves and get one of these silk jackets over the dress.
Found a turquoise jacket like the 80’s one.
Gloria would wear these together.
I really wouldn’t of opted for a silky jacket like this before, but will get it for the purposes of film fashion.
You can wear the jacket like Gloria or with Michael Michaud jewellery in Who’s got the lady.
I think on its own the jacket is a bit too jazzy for me, but styled these two ways you might just pull it off.

Have to be honest and say I prefer The Gloria style jacket as it goes in down the back with a back seam and the shoulders are puffed. This creates a softer feminine sillouette.
This one hasn’t a back seam or puffed sleeves, it doesn’t therefore indicate any softness or the feminine form underneath it.
Weirdly this is actually more ‘street’ and masculine.
I think you can sew a kind of corset into these jackets for that purpose, not sure I would attempt that.
Models and wedding shops use bulldog clips.
If you think about these ideas sometimes an answer comes.
Maybe it isn’t as shiny in real life.
I like the colour actually.
It will go great with neutrals and tan, also gold and bronze.
Another use would be a beach cover up or Kimono.
Convinced myself to get it as it is really not me, but quite fun as it is two of the looks in film and TV fashion.
Just noticed how clever the matching skirt is.
It has a plain front panel and just pleats down the side, so it hangs flared but the front panel takes in excessive flare.
Love this outfit. found the colour but not the style.
This would go with the Armani tube skirt, then the neutral shoes.

This is large with possibly a hint of green, think it matches the shoes, it is neutral and matches the whole look anyway.

These are similar apart from being chunkier ~ I wonder if it is a comfort thing why shoes have changed so much?
I’d wear these to go supermarket/grocery shopping in summer.
I think they might match the blue shiny jacket as well.

These aren’t anywhere near, well maybe but think they will match the blue jacket.
I think they are a modern take on the classic Gloria shoe design.

Think these are again a different take on the Gloria shoe but at least neutral.

These are similar but with a different ankle strap and heel, but neutral.

This matches the who;e look as it is neutral and a bag with a flap.
To be fair to the film shopper, you might have to change things a bit as it isn’t the 80’s, also the clothes of 2025 aren’t fitted as well as they were back in the 70’s so the higher heels might get the unfitted jacket to work.
It is however starting to pull together actually, there is also blue in the first dress so the blue shoes and handbag match that also.
Matching the right shoe to the right outfit is really hard, but worth the effort as it makes all the difference to the finished overall look.
Conclusion
Love this film and have been interested to discover it inspired Leon, another brilliant film.
Have really enjoyed this film fashion and enjoyed discovering style tips I had never thought of before.
Ungario is obviously an expensive designer, so this is a good time to try it out and work out your sizings.
Really like the Ungario Look and hope I fit into it.
If you prefer the 70’s too, hope you think of ways to turn current oversized trends more 70’s.
This will come around again next February, so will be interesting to add to the collection.
A gangsters moll look is a great one as she is obviously really stylish with expensive taste.
