Was going to do this last week, but a lot of people seem to be saying not to do reviews.
I think notes for the rest of January and next year are more useful probably anyway.
I still can’t use the floor so this workout is a bit of a mish mash and will be easier to use in a playlist.

Hopefully next year I will be able to use the floor, then I’ll probably just do the whole video and Zsa Zsa Gabor weights.
What I have found is I muggled loads of Kathy Smith videos up in my mind and this isn’t as long as I thought it was.
If you don’t want to do a lot of exercise or can’t use your floor either, this workout is enjoyable and fun and is over with before you know it.
Remember reading about Isometrics and how hard they were to the point of putting people off doing them.
Isometrics are a type of exercise that involves contracting a muscle or group of muscles without moving the joint. The word “isometric” comes from the Greek words isos (equal) and -metria (measuring).
How isometric exercises work
- Isometric exercises involve static contractions, where the muscle doesn’t change length.Ā
- The tension created by isometric exercises causes muscle and nerve fibers to fire.Ā
- Isometric exercises can help improve range of motion and stability.

I find as always Kathy Smith makes Isometrics do-able for people exercising at home and also enjoyable.
The Cardio sections are so fun, I found I was just enjoying myself, especially the add on section.
The thing to do I think is put loads of energy in, then it burns off more calories.
Tamilee tells us this is what we should be doing in ‘defy gravity’, so I’m trusting her advice and getting my weekly boost in on Wednesday.

Ultimate Workout ~ no floor routine
It is a bit of a mish mash but easy to do,
I do the warmup and cardio.
Then start the Isometrics till 32.54
Then fast forward to 34.35 Balance
Then stop at 38.46
Then fast forward to 50.56 for Waists.
This continues into the cooldown, I do the standing part of the cooldown then finish with standing abs.
Then a further cooldown with Lesley Sansone.
Conclusion
It would be easier just to use the floor I suppose but fitness had started wondering if standing abs was better for us anyway.
I really enjoyed this workout and tried to get as much out of it even if it is a mish mash.
I like the Isometrics and the standing abs section mentions isometrics so the whole workout fits together.
If you are put off by negative people of 2025, I’d recommend you try this.
At the end of it I feel normal.
As I’ve said I come from a healthy family and we were fit as children as we lived on a hill.
If your not sure if this is too hard consult a doctor first, all the videos at home tell you this anyway.
But if you are fit and healthy I think you will love this.
If you can get on the floor just do the Kathy Smith Video on its own.
If you used to go to a gym and feel lousy, this will do it for you and you will feel your old self in no time.
