Was watching de cluttering tutorials yesterday in satisfied mode as I’d done the same thing and really enjoyed it.
Another project I started was trying to use up and recycle the empty boxes inside advent calendars.
Have noticed some snidy reviews about the ones I purchased or maybe they are just being honest.
When I was little my Mum was like that and therefore wouldn’t buy me girls world. I thought they couldn’t afford it, but looking back my Mum worked at that point and could have afforded it, she just thought it was cheap rubbish and not worth the money.
A friend I made when we moved had all the cheap rubbish toys and she lived in a council house and her dad worked cash in hand as a painter and decorator.
Her girls world was a bit tatty I suppose, but to this day I still wish I had had one and decided myself whether it was cheap rubbish or not.

Trashing my Advent Calendars
With this lust for wild abondment of a waste of money, I’m not bothered if they aren’t worth what I spent on them as I gleaned some of the joy I never had from Girls world.
Recycling Project
This is where I might get criticism from the foul mouthed followers of Freud.

What I have started doing is being inventive with the empty boxes left over from the Advent Calendars, just like children often do to the annoyance of their parents.
The first idea is to make a drawer organiser with 24 compartments.
You just open the top of the box, then fit them into your drawer.
This has its downside at the moment because you might not remember what is in each box or it might get on your nerves and not work, only time can tell.
One further idea is to organise the boxs into segments of wrinkle creams, blemish creams and so forth as I’m completely disorganised now with all the advent calendar products.
Hoping to find new favourites, but I need some sort of organisation to the mess.
Advent Calendar lingerie and scarf drawer
As I store the empty box in my wardrobe, the shelf it is on isn’t very sturdy so I thought I’d try it out as a lingerie, tights and scarf drawer.
It is really light so better for the shelf.
Once you take the boxes out it is really big.
I haven’t got much lingerie since 1/2 cupped size women can’t purchase bras anymore?, so it all fits in really neatly.
Really like this idea at the minute but might change it again if I get fed up.
Gleaning the thing to do is use it all year, then replace it with a new one next year.
Why I like Sample Sized products
Just to contribute a use for sample sized products from Advent Calendars. I heard a Doctor on TV once say you get less back ache if you carry small handbags.
I found this tip to be true, but the first problem is getting a giant sized makeup bag in a small handbag.
The sample sizes are perfect for this.
They are also great for clutch bags, which I love also.
Sometimes you can get one or two full sized products in small handbags, then the rest can be sample sized.
Conclusion
Hope some of these ideas inspire you.
I don’t want to moan about Advent Calendars as I really like them.
Ideally it would be good to write a blog about an out of this world advent Calendar that was 10/10.
But I got what I wanted out of the ones I got anyway.
It will take me a while to work out what I got as they are not my usual brands, I guess the people reviewing the Advent Calendars must know the products well already.
Must admit I do agree with some of the complaints, but I really enjoyed the whole experience and plan to get more next year.
Have a lovely Sunday
