The generally accepted age for wearing lipstick is about 14.
A subtle colour is the most becoming.
To apply lipstick prop your elbows firmly on the table, supporting your chin with one hand whilst studying the action with your drawing hand.

(n.b. the model applies the lipstick with a brush rather than the actual lipstick)
Start from the centre of your upper lip drawing a smooth curve to the outer corner.
On the lower lip start at the corner and plumb? to the centre with the brush laid flat.
Fill in with the brush rather than the lipstick itself.
Blot the excess.
for a softer smoother look apply a lip gloss.
Remember lips need protection as the skin.
Then the model goes over the first layer with the actual lipstick.
If you prefer to not wear a lipstick, do wear a lipgloss.
lip shapes can be changed

For example thin lips can be corrected by overpainting

Thick lips can be narrowed by covering them with base

Then using colour only towards the inside of the lips.

Too wide lips can be made less obvious by covering the outer corners with base

Skin blemishes can not be entirely avoided by most young girls.
Makeup can conceal them.

But a healthy diet and cleanliness can often prevent them.
Most important never pick or squeeze a blemish as it makes matters worse.
Voila
The finished look

The dog likes it anyway

Conclusion
Found this tutorial really usefull.
Found my way with makeup again, the problem now seems to be actually getting the products.
As so many bloggers are moaning about it wonder if it is going to get sorted out.
Will try this lip application again as I’ve been struggling with it.
As I’m fair skinned I don’t think anyone is making lipstick shades that suit me.
I’m possibly a minority colour, so not sure what to do about it.
This video says go for a subtle colour but I just get quite strong colours of late that aren’t subtle at all.
They are quite brown or orange but not in a brown or orange that suits me. Also I often wondered if brown and orange don’t suit me and this video explains that they don’t.
It doesn’t go into what a subtle colour is.
I’m still using a pre covid Mac lipstick which is a subtle pink. I found most of their lipsticks to be really good colours. They used to have so many shades wondering why you can’t get them anymore.
I did get a pink one but it wasn’t like the matt ones I used to get.
I think lipstick is now lipstick and gloss rolled into one in unsubtle shades.
Got an idea where to go with this lipstick problem but not sure.
Not sure if I should do anymore of these as I haven’t any followers anymore so seems a waste of time.
I do love makeup though and learnt loads from this tutorial.
Enjoy your Saturday
