living in britain 2024/comparing it to ye olde days of britain/Is yellow the new orange?

I’m not a writer or a great thinker and so forth but I am a person who lives in Britain so therefore I am as important as all the other people who live here.

I work really hard in Saphire World to try and make it nice till things go normal again.

Sometimes we have such a good time in my little world I forget it isn’t normal in Britain anymore till I look at the news again.

Then it all goes weird again and I end up with depressive thoughts and not being able to sleep for worry.

When I look at my old friends on twitter I notice women who would of looked glamorous before covid wearing horrible clothes.

Not getting their hair done.

Wearing horrible makeup colours in styles that don’t suit them or not wearing makeup as it only comes in yellow foundation? (it used to go orange on me, yellow must be the new orange ~ go figure it out? why yellow instead of beige or porcelain?)

(learnt this from a tutorial also learnt it is something to do with kooks ~ well whatever it is can’t find my shade of foundation anymore except Rimmel ~ always bought Rimmel, think that and Constance Carroll was my first makeup as a teenager after the toddler beauty salon product.)

Wearing clothes too big or too small.

Or a combination so it looks like a charicature rather than stylish.

I’m trying really hard with fashion, have to say I’ve learnt loads from doing the fashion calendar ~ just want to look at the world and see all the women looking glamorous again in clothes that fit them wearing makeup that suits them.

Farming

Really don’t understand what is going on here?

We have been getting more food, so thought it was getting better.

Have to say it has brought back childhood memories.

My Grandma and Grandad had a farm and my Mum was brought up on a farm.

I think it was like one of the small farms in the news.

My Grandad allegedly ran off with a prostitute so I never met him. He waited till my mum and aunty had grown up, then ran off with a flighty bird.

Think they must of lived on the farm or sold the farm.

Apparently loads of blokes did that in those days.

I think it went back to antiquated farming techniques as my mum had a fox hunting horn.

They blew it at christmas, then everyone was seated and the children given liqueuer.

I used to feel sick back then.

Children actually suit drinking better than older people as I discovered it in a health book, why I cut down to government measures. This is another olde worlde thing people used to do put a bit of brandy on the babies teeth when teething and so forth. Probably illegal now and nothing to do with me. I haven’t got children so not sure what people do now.

I love liqueur now so doing 8 days of liqueuer for nostalgia this year.

As for fox hunting I’m not getting involved either way as both sides have a massive argument. The foxs are pests for farmers though so they have to address the issue somehow.

We grew up playing with bits of fur and fur broaches so I’m sort of brought up to except farming even though I wasn’t brought up on a farm.

Hope all the problems get sorted so the farmers can do their job and feed the people.

Where we live all the pubs are called fox and hounds and so forth, think the past was maybe a lot simpler and people were tougher.

It wasn’t brilliant then either though I suppose.

The fox hunters and hounds would go round each pub drinking liqueur as they actually kept the areas working efficiently for free,

Hunting actually supports animals if done correctly ~ learnt this in a Mills and Boon film.

I’ve never rode a horse, (except once when I was told I was a natural, then my bitch cousin bullied me later because she couldn’t do it. She is morbidly obese now so a bit like the woman in the Good life.)

My mum had loads of antiquated antiques including the horn. It caused loads of arguments as my dad wasn’t a fan of bric a brac and my Aunty said it looked like a pub.

Where the horn tradition came from I don’t know as none of my ancestors are from these parts.

Either they took to local traditions or it is from further afield in even more antiquated times.

My Grandads sign was from Carlisle and My Grans originated from Bavaria. My Gran used to say Boo tiful instead of Beautiful so that could be my Great Grandma who was Catholic.

This is all I know of my mums side as all the searches we did didn’t lead to anything. I couldn’t find my Grandad either.

Conclusion

How 2024 has got so bad with fashion, makeup, hairstyles and farming I don’t know.

Women have so many horrible things to deal with in life I often think fashion, makeup and hairstyles are the only good things we have to enjoy.

Just about everyone loves food, if not they need it to survive.

All farming uses meat and all food contains meat ~ this is why I gave up being vegetarian as I realised it was in all vegetarian food and I’d never actually been a vegetarian. Meat is even in wine.

If farming doesn’t get sorted the farmers can’t make the vegetables for the vegans or vegetarians.

If you don’t farm properly the rabbits would eat all the vegetables.

This whole mess is so easily solved if you just let people who know what they are doing get on with their jobs.

I think people are surviving and look like zombified idiots, but secretly in their homes, they must be complaining. People can’t say what they think anymore ~ I daren’t say anything about anything.

We just live in drab boring times.

Will put together Ye Olde Worlde 8 days of liqueur party on pinterest and there is loads of christmas TV stashed up for you.

Will source Liqueur fashion through December, then just have 8 days of christmas food hopefully. (Will be first time we have done christmas for years).

I think it will also be my homage to farmers and how hard farmers work for us to feed us.

Christmas is about this type of thing anyway.

Time for us to enjoy the harvest of the year, be with friends and loved ones, have a rest before the new year and a good feed once a year, especially if you live somewhere cold.

Not sure if anyone is reading this as pinterest says I have no one looking at my work.

Will keep doing it as it is all we have at the moment and I prefer my little world to the weird zombie one outside at the moment.

Hopefully things will go back to normal soon now covid is over.

Soon all the calendars will meet up so will keep plowing on till then.

Enjoy the rest of the week
