Saphire Black favourite Film/tv and concert weekend

Hi

This is just a memo to say there is so much of it that I’m not sure I can fit it into just one weekend.

I’m linking up what I’m choosing out of my favourite film collection so it isn’t favouritism.

Might have to do this weekend again maybe.

Also the more I find the more it builds up.

Have to say now I’ve studied it for a few years I have got a favourite film.

You need to be certain though and think about it.

Saphire’s favourite film is:

Barefoot in the Park

Not sure anyone is bothered what my favourite film is, but it is a bit of fun and is generating different ideas.

Why it is my favourite film

I can just really relate to it.

It is really romantic and real because people in love really do argue quite a lot.

I love how the film makes dull mundane reality exciting and exotic.

I first saw it living on campus in London.

The building was awful and I was struggling with my course but couldn’t leave it as I had nowhere else to live or any other income.

After watching this film I went more into central London, was adventurous and made my room into a shieks tent.

I also found little parks to sit and think in. Kept going with my course and passed it as I was more imaginative.

Also inspired me to try different types of food.

Every time I have watched it since have got something different from it.

Also from the mother’s point of view, you realise not to give up as you get older. Maybe she will inspire you to take up Friday dance class if you feel too old.

Then obviously without saying the acting is superb.

Conclusion

I’m not a writer or critic, but I used to like going to the cinema once a week. I am, therefore, a film customer, so my and our thoughts count.

I hope cinema and theatre come back, but there are also so many forgotten films that I have managed to rediscover, such as a woman’s face with Joan Crawford and ones I had never seen such as Frankenstein with Boris Karloff or Straight Jacket with Joan Crawford.

I think my favourite is, ‘films’.

Sort of starting to observe little changes in fashion so hopefully, fashion for everyone will be back soon.

In the same line, I hope the cinema comes back, I did go to the theatre occasionally, but always went to the cinema.

It was the social side I liked also, where you came out of the cinema then went for a drink with your companions or companion and discussed the film.

Also being somewhere packed and buzzing, even if someone behind you was annoying and you had to move or someone in front of you was tall with a large hat lol!!

It all added to the excitement.

Will continue loading up as usual

Hope you enjoy my choices
