When is post covid incompetance going away? frumpy lingerie missold still?

Really fed up with post-COVID bras.

As my weight has gone down thought I would try for a new bra,

I’m now the average Bra size for a woman living in the British Isles, which is 34b.

Luckily it means I can get back into an old George bra which is 34b.

Unluckily my sports bra is too big now which is 34c.

The ones I received are still being produced wrong?

From some of the news on Twitter, you have to wonder if someone has made the bras wrong on purpose or if it is just incompetence.

If it is incompetence couldn’t they just pay someone competent to go and reset the machines to work properly again?

I’m not a fashion designer, but I’m not stupid either.

I decided to ask the nerd to photograph my old bra and the new bra to show the obvious mistakes with the new bra.

They are both sold as 34b lightly padded, underwired T-shirt bras.

The white one is the new one, it has too much fabric and also smells funny if I’m honest.

George bras never used to smell, you didn’t have to wash them first.

I thought they were brilliant.

This is the old one on top of the new one.

Not sure how clear this has turned out, but there is too much fabric in the new one.

If you don’t know about bras, if the bra is too big it will move around and cause discomfort.

This is why they come in different sizes.

The bit in the middle is too big as well, so I guess this is designed to make it move around or cause discomfort to the woman wearing it.

Bizarrely I found these under the section ‘first bras’

Obviously, I’m not 14, so didn’t think they would fit me.

Out of desperation, I tried them only to find they are too big for me?

They used to be sold for adult women so not sure why they are now being sold as first bras?

First Bras

A range of bras designed with comfort in mind, perfect for their first step into lingerie.

Not sure what first bras means now?

If it means teenagers most teenagers still have childlike frames this is the term blossoming when women are their most beautiful.

Interestingly this is the only one with a 28-inch back and still doesn’t look right?

This is why I feel most sorry for teenagers and older women.

I used to teach teenage girls, so I guess they are having a more rubbish time than ever.

Thinking back to school how many girls develop large busts at school?

Not many.

We had one girl called Sally who got quite a bit bust and hated it, as she was teased and so forth.

She needed a bra at 14.

We all hated it.

Anyway just thought I would write this up to prove the point I’ve been moaning about.

Some of the fashion out there at the moment is atrocious.

Atrocious is an adjective that means extremely bad, displeasing, or revolting. For example, you might describe something as atrocious if it is cruel, brutal, or wicked, or if it is of very poor quality. Some synonyms of atrocious include abominable, abysmal, awful, dreadful, painful, terrible, unspeakable, and vile.

I had to send some jumpers back because they smelt funny and wasn’t sure what they were made out of?

Why someone can’t get it right I don’t know?

It is obviously better than what I can do, but then again I made some 1/2 cup padded bra inserts out of wrongly sold covid bra pads.

I ordered a 1/2 cup plunge and got a full cup round-shaped bra?

Tried them out at the weekend and they were super padded inserts.

I think I just bent them in half and blanket sticked the edges. The rubber smell had gone.

Made them during Covid 19.

Reminded me of the song the jeweller as hand sewing makes a callous on the finger.

If I had a sewing machine, I’d have a go at making a bra.

Just have to look after my old George bra in the mean time I suppose.

Conclusion

Why the powers that be won’t stock properly fitting underwear in the shops I don’t know?

Bras had got so good, it is weird for there not to be any.

When you used to shop in La Senza it was so packed they must have been making a fortune.

Only selling cheap shoddy bras that don’t fit seems insane?

Suppose I’ll wait a bit longer then try again.

Maybe the person using incompetent designers or warehouse staff has run out of money.

Hopefully the old people who could do it will get the George job back.

It used to be packed in there also, the smaller sizes always sold out first, if anything I wondered why they didn’t stock more smaller sizes. Thinking about it there is possibly a warehouse somewhere stuffed to the rafters with bras that haven’t been made properly that no one wants.

I’m the average size for shoes also.

Wonder if you feel the same and struggle too.

Wondering if it will go back to normal soon?

Hope this helps if you feel like me ~ fed up ~ you are not alone.

Will let you know if ever I find bras that fit properly again.

Trying Peacocks next, see what happens with their bras.
