When I started Perfume Junky it was a bit of a chaotic cocktail with no order. A few stories started emerging and I started discovering both well established and brand new fragrances.
Personally I am a loyal customer and a repeat purchaser who likes to purchase my perfumes from high end retailers for the full luxury experience.
As the world has unfortunately changed to something I’m not struck on, I have been learning to adapt so I don’t get left behind and just end up moanng about the good old days.
Got most of those feelings out by blaming covid.
You aren’t supposed to blame people, but have to say a scapegoat does do the trick.
Covid is a great scapegoat to throw blame on as no one likes it.
Where I’m finding myself at now, is I actually enjoy getting my products delivered, especially the heavier products.
If this is the future I think we will probably get free samples of perfume sent out to us to try before we buy.
If shops ever do come back, have to say I will be using home delivery options a lot still.
The only thing that doesn’t work in mho is clothes shopping, unless it is repeat orders. It would work if it was like La Redoute pre covid as their clothes just about always fitted. Fashion shopping used to be part of my stepometer challenge also; why I was active rather than sedentry. I just enjoy shopping also and being part of the crowd. The other night remembered how women used to do fashion shows at the new look changing room door. It was always heaving and everyone watching would join in and comment so you knew fairly well if something suited you or not. Once bought a red fur coat I was going to put back as a lady said I really suited it. Found out it was like one Frida from Abba has, so kept it.

I would rather do repeat order shopping over the internet, as before they often had to ring round other stores if it wasn’t in stock especially perfume.
Over the internet it is from a centralised hub and I find quite reliable.

Conclusion
Wonder why the above piece is in past tense when you can still purchase Giorgio perfume?
A good perfume is like a good painting.
It becomes classic and something you want to keep going back to as there is something you get from it.
If you weren’t even born when a painting was first completed and exhibited it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the vibe created from viewing it in a modern exhibition.
The same goes for classic perfumes.
You may not of bought it when it originally came out, but the vibe, atmosphere, memories it creates can be tapped into and enjoyed by anyone.
Chanel No5 still evokes the iconic image of Marilyn wrapped in luxurious silk sheets with diamonds on her bedside cabinet.
Giorgio Beverly Hills obviously evokes the feeling of rich glamourous powerful 80’s women oozing money and power out of their designer handbags.
This perfume is the equality card when you want to be an equal to men in business meetings or other situations when you want to be taken seriously.
It sort of isn’t what I want to go for myself, but I love the Giorgio Bear. I think this powerful woman wants to retain her fluffy side too.
Looking forward to testing this elixir of power.
I think you can fake the Giorgio woman too, why not everyone is faking confidence at the moment why not fake dangerous powerful business woman.
Have started getting a bit of a buzz from shopping off the internet.
This product is conjuring up a bit of the multi sensory experience in a shopping mall/centre. You sort of want to go for a coffee now or end your shopping trip in one of the many worldly restaurants available to choose from.
