Sunday days out of the past/future ideas/general new product chit-chat

Doing a British summertime Party has worked for me.

I feel if you are doing vintage blogs as you have been made to, hopefully, this might of inspired you and you will be allowed to start blogging less specific themes; the summer holiday in Britain party reaches out to just about everyone of any age as I think most people have been to a beach at some point in their lives, whereas I know nothing about the 1930’s, not very much, so it doesn’t mean anything to me. But I have found seaside songs of the past that do mean something. It is then easier to run them alongside the information you do know and piece it together. We can all enjoy our memories this month.

Just looked at the news today and things are even more weird and confusing?

I think it should sort itself out soon, as it will have to.

Until then I’m using Saphire World to plan my dreams in the hopefully near future.

One thing I found today is I actually don’t want a day off in The slimming calendar. The one day off a month from slimming isn’t my idea, I found it in a slimming mag pre covid. It was obviously devised by nutritionists who knew what they were doing. When you diet, you sometimes crave the food you can’t have, so allowing yourself some whilst slimming helps you diet for the rest of the month. It obviously works as I just want something healthy tonight and a good night’s sleep from upping my exercise with Jane’s July.

Next month I may want a day off, but I’m back to being able to take it or leave it.

Hope it is working for you too, if you have been trying it out.

Slimming takes time, so we need ideas to keep us going.

Hopefully, The August Challenge will budge some more stubborn pounds off.

If you are tired or wired from Jane’s July I found a great article at the white company. I’ve decided to wear my sleep mask every night now and jot down a to-do list before I go to sleep.

If you overthink at night I found these fantastic patches at Holland and Barrett

Another tip is to take your TV out of the bedroom.

I’m a terrible sleeper, so I have all types of Sleep products.

Perfume Junky

Hope you like the new format, it is like perfume junky and Sunday shop in one. think I’d gone a bit out of control, but needed to start somewhere.

Might start doing even less now.

Looking forward to trying sea salt perfume. Never tried it before.

British Seaside Holidays and Days out

Some of the British Seaside news is a bit weird at the moment, but I’m not sure if it is real as my cousin and some of my old friends live at different beaches and it seems normal. The weird thing is they left good head of department teaching jobs to move to various British seaside towns. My friend is just a teacher now and my cousin and husband are gardener and care worker, she’s trying to make it as an artist but she is a teacher and not an artist.

I think we just need to go for ourselves really and see what is going on, if anything.

We used to do a coastal walk inspired by a slimming club I was a member of. It was a bit too long and muddy, so would like to do another coastal walk that is just 30 minutes and tie it into the slimming calendar. Walking outside is my favourite form of exercise and getting a camper van is one of my future dreams. Traveling around Britain is a dream I had recently when I watched a documentary that said people are told which holiday to go on from the area they live in.

Ours was Whitby, Scarborough, and Cornwall.

Hopefully, I’ll try a few different coastal towns in the future.

Went for an interview at South End on Sea once and went to a beach in Glasgow once. Maybe there are others if I think back.

Me Time

Have been so busy of late that I’m struggling to fit ‘me time’ in. We work really hard and don’t go anywhere anymore, but if we do it seems a bit weird still. Hopefully, now Covid has gone all the designers and chefs will go back to work. The clothes are starting to fit better, maybe they didn’t or couldn’t go to work in clothes that made them look like an idiot, like Laura Ashley said about WW2 clothes.

Laura Ashley ~ similarities between WW2 and Covid Fashion

I’ve got some trousers that fit better, so look sort of normal today for the first time in ages.

They aren’t perfect, as they are advertised, but I can get them on without bending in two with breathing problems in the weird waist trainer ones?

The ones today go up as far as my bra? but the length is perfect. The hips are quite loose but as I said before I’m not really fussy. I could go out in these quite happily if there was somewhere to go. Realise I need some tops and jackets though so did a jacket and blazer shop yesterday and doing a top and blouse shop today. All this loads up into the fashion calendar. I put what I receive in fashion to try, and then what I recommend goes into star fashion.

Hope this is giving you hope and you are getting the products you want. I’ve been told you will.

Spa products

I’m really persevering with getting rid of cellulite, I’m putting the effort in with cellulite smoother and lunges, if I get results will put in star products. It has to work though really to be a recommended product or you could just sell anything I suppose.

Makeup

Finally got some makeup, but with all my extra exercise, a few domestic problems we have had to sort out, and missing out on some sleep, not had a chance to try them out yet.

‘me time’

Need to designate makeup time and manicure and pedicure time.

Guess I might not be going out till I get some complete outfits, but can start practicing some makeup looks if I make some time for ‘me’ as they say.

These are products I’m trying. Some of it will be staying in this box, when I’ve tried something and it works or is really good, I move it to star products to repeat purchase.

What I need is a maintenance diary to book in ‘me time’. Ordered loads of journals and diaries, but still haven’t received them.

Might load one up on Slimming Calender that we can all use. It does work like the sleep idea sounds to. If I write it down I stick to it, otherwise I just work all the time.

I quite like doing my exercise on Mon, Wed, and Fri then having Saturday as extra or catch-up time. Then Tue, Thu and Saturday or Sunday as ‘me time’.

I’m writing up what exercise I’m doing in August, so you might like the routine and can join in with what I’m doing. Really need to include a window of ‘me time’ for us.

Conclusion

Hopefully, Sunday shop will turn back into Sunday day out.

We got told it would get weirder before it went back to normal and to just hang on in there.

It is pretty weird now, so it must be nearly over.

Hope the British Summertime party has got you thinking about summers of the past and Summers of your dreams for the future.

Hope you’re getting clothes that fit you properly so you are geared up for going out again when there are places to go again.

I’ll keep making my contribution as I’m told it is helping people get clothes that fit, lets hope the days off in the slimming calendar are contributing to decent food, days out, and holidays coming back.

All we can do is try our best I suppose.

Make sure you get your sleep and treat yourself to a sleep mask and anything else you want. Then you will wake up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the last dregs of weirdness.

Have a lovely Sunday and enjoy your day off, if you are doing it this month.
