As I’m British I know a bit about my own country, but not much.
When we were little we went to our local seaside town, which I have discovered is similar to Santa Monica beach in L.A., but without the sun lol!!!
The Carry on films filmed at the British seaside is in Brighton, which is a typical British Santa Monica-type resort.
We also drove to nearby picturesque harbours and countryside.
When we were older we holidayed in Newquay and Devon, which is a picturesque resort and sunnier.
Would like to travel more around my own country, maybe I could fill in some gaps of knowledge.
A lot of British people choose to camp in the countryside or stay at expensive country hotels.
Found some Jack Hargreaves TV about English Country ways.

We used to like driving in the country at the weekend and having a drink at an expensive country pub or getting a roast dinner and so forth.
The British age of motoring brought this idea to us with motorway stations.

The New Seekers on a beach somewhere in Britain, could be Glasgow, went to a beach somewhere in Scotland once.
As I’m a new seeker in my own country, (spent most of my life working), discovered the book Coast by GBN news reporter Neil Oliver.

Coast From the Air
Coast From the Air Hardcover
by Neil Oliver (Author)
Viewed from the air, even the most familiar landscapes take on a startling new life. The countryside becomes a pattern; the coast becomes an edge. Humanity recedes and the land itself takes centre stage. From small harbours to expansive bridges, towering cliffs to seaside resorts – Coast from the Air gives an incredible new perspective on our green and pleasant land, and how beautiful and fragile that land can be.
In 20 chapters – each one focusing on a specific coastal region of the British Isles – over 200 outstanding aerial photographs portray the beauty and diversity of our coastline.
A more comprehensive guide to British Holiday destinations that I could give.
Looking forward to seeing Britain from this different angle.
This inspired the summer reads section and I’m starting to enjoy end-of-month parties.
With the introduction of summer holidays, it is bringing everything up to date.
We can now relax and have some fun lazy hazy summertime days.
Food
I would choose an expensive dinner in a country pub or hotel, possibly spending a holiday there.
The only option at the minute is the seaside resort option of fish and chips, then a doughnut or ice cream.
When in Rome I guess.
Fish and chips do taste good especially with alcohol as we discovered in the film with Lawrence Olivier.

Doughnuts are delightfully indulgent, so a great treat once a year in July.
If British holidays aren’t for you, get yourself down to the bar in Brighton with the cast of the Carry on films and you will soon be letting your hair down and finding your wonderfull gypsy spirit.

Conclusion
When you work really hard, especially white collar workers. We sometimes loose our sense of adventure and childhood ability to let go and enjoy ourselves.
Hopefully British holidays can help you rediscover your inner child.
The seaside resort has a rich history that hides a gypsy soul from the forgotten past.
Tapping into the spirit that remains triggers off a great feeling that you don’t really understand.
Hopefully the summer holiday parties might get us back in the mood for holidaying tying into holidays coming back.
Us brits love to holiday abroad in warmer climes, but on sunny days we all head straight to our nearest seaside resort for a day out. They are also great for toddler holidays.
Hope you enjoy this if your British or give it a try if your not and give our British Isles a try.
