What are waist trainer leggings?/am I the only one who doesn’t get them?Enough is enough

As I was having some success with George shoes and handbags, when I noticed cotton leggings in a regular fit, I was really hopeful that regulated sizes might be back.

One stomach-wrenching, tear-filled, anxiety argumentative day later, I realised yet again it was just the old ‘newness’ false sense of security trick.

The first thing I noticed was them rising up my legs ~ therefore they were obviously short and not regular length.

When I started to get the old achy feeling down my side, I instinctively knew there was something wrong.

Hoping there was some way I could salvage them I got my scissors and cut from the centre waist down.

I noticed my stomach went from an unsightly bulge shape back to a flat one.

I am slightly apple shaped but not whatever shape the bulge is?

These waist trainer leggings are more stomach-making leggings?

Now I understand why some people I know don’t look right anymore; they are bulging in their trousers and shorts, where they didn’t used to.

I purposefully bought the bigger size to my measurements just in case they were unregulated sizing.

Not being funny, but I’m size 10 in old sizes.

The size 12 to 14 obviously didn’t fit.

I would rather have trousers that held in my apple shape not trained it to look worse?

Also, they looked like they came from a cheap warehouse and weren’t really Asda quality.

My family worked in warehouses so I grew up learning what to look for.

Was really disappointed as them being cotton, thought they might stretch more than the elastic ones.

Find it strange that the shoes are such high quality compared to the shoddy quality of the leggings.

I do need to lose some weight but to fit into size 12 ~ 14 waist trainers how much weight are you supposed to lose?

Find this dangerous ~ what is it expecting women to do get anorexia?

Armani is against Anorexic models and this is the point of the BMI index.

Not being funny but someone weighing 8 and a half stone isn’t size 12 ~ 14.

Further more as they don’t fit, I’m definitely not size 16 ~ 18.

If you look at me I’m not size 14 or above.

I’m size 12 at the top as I’m struggling to lose weight, so not bothered to buy 12 at the bottom even though they’re wrongly sized, but size 14?

If I get to 8 stone I think I still wouldn’t fit the size 12 ~ 14.

If someone is 14, what size are they meant to get ~ really mean.

As they are too short and bad quality I’m not even interested to try.

If I get down to my lowest BMI weight I still wouldn’t fit them so what are you supposed to do get anorexic?

Sorry, I’m not willing to get anorexic just because someone wants women to have bulging stomachs?

Just set the machine in the factory to make properly regulated-sized leggings

I once went for a job in a factory programing machines to churn clothes out so it is that simple. Got offered it, but it looked boring for not much money, took a better-paid one.

Still wondering if this is some sort of a joke that isn’t funny.

Have to say if the person cracking the joke tried them on for a day I don’t think they would be laughing anymore either.

Highly not recommended

Just noticed they are half-mast on the model too.

Just at the end of my tether with trying for leggings.

George’s leggings used to be excellent.

I repeat bought my favourite leggings and jeggings from Asda many a time till COVID.

You can only hope they go back to the old supplier.

Get a hot meal love

A plastic surgeon told me this when I went to inquire about liposuction. Wonder what he would tell models who could get into the Xtra Small leggings?

They must be 6 stone or under.

7 stone = size 12 ~ 14

6 stone = size 8 ~ 10

5 stone = size 6

Conclusion

Please would someone explain how you get regulated size leggings in old regulated sizes, that hold your stomach in rather than making it bulge out.

When we are a world aware and disgusted by anorexia, why are women being subjected to leggings that demand us to slim down to dangerously underweight sizes to fit into them?

What is the point?

What does it prove?

What is the problem of just churning out a few sizes that actually fit in regulated sizes?

At the end of the day, it would just mean average women of average build could get comfortable leggings and trousers that fitted properly again.

It isn’t exactly a threat to other women?

Leggings are just casual clothes to exercise in or wear around the house. I never wore leggings to go out in. I used to wear thin cotton/nylon or viscose loose joggers to go walking or to the gym or sort of thickish nylon-type joggers. Got some Lonsdale ones in size 8 that I’m trying to slim down to.

Mind you if someone taller than me tried to get in my clothes they would be too tight on them.

This whole thing is stupid.

I used to look rubbish at the gym, but my clothes fitted properly.

So if women got their joggers that fit properly back they would probably look rubbish, but would be comfortable.

I suppose I had a leotard once that looked good, some shorts that made me look really slim, and a tight tracksuit jacket that pulled in and made me look slim, wore it till the zip broke, think it was part of the build them up and show them how good it could be agenda, then knock them down again.

This is possibly more what women want, sportswear that makes them look slimmer but is comfortable.

Maybe now the shoes are good the sportswear might be again, you can only hope.

Hope this inspires more women like me to moan about it in blogs.

If everyone complains it creates change, if we all suffer in silence the people at the top don’t bother to do anything.

This info was on the radio about British rail, my theory about that one was it was better the day the train got in late as you just ended up with longer reading time rather than work time with a genuine excuse.

n.b.

There are no hidden benefits to size 14 jeggings that really fit someone 7 stone or whatever?
