50s party/Diana Dors Look

This was one of the looks I did when I started on tumbler. This is now being regenerated for the 50’s party.

Love this look, but I haven’t got this figure so will do it for anyone who is this figure, you get this look also in New Year on slimming calendar with Carry on England.

Will buy the shoes and handbag also for women who aren’t hourglass.

Balmain made fashion better for women in the 50’s after the austere fashion measures in WW2, which used weird hats and makeup to knock self esteem out of people for some unknown reason?

Not sure if this matches the jackets but there is gold on the buttons. It matches the shoes and is more close to the original dress. The stripes are slimming.

Couldn’t get the powder blue ones, so opted for white

Conclusion

Struggled with the 50’s then remembered these looks.

Women in the 50’s could shop in Harrods and it is where I began with The Dors Look on Tumbler.

Will add my shopping purchases in 50s fashion calendar shop and then they will be there next year.
