Film fashion/spectre 77~ converting a cheap wedding dress into an expensive-looking glamorous evening gown

Started watching the film Spectre 77 and couldn’t help but notice how much some servant’s dresses looked like some wedding dresses I had bought from another film blog.

Will have to get the dresses and my sewing machine, before I work out how to do this project, but it looks really easy.

The dresses I bought come with pads, if you take these out you could make a bra with them that fits the dress.

Have no guarantee any of this will work.

Have a vague idea.

Used to alter dresses on my market stall to pay my way through college, but never tried anything this complicated.

However, if you can sew or are a seamstress this might give you some inspiration.

from bride to a servant

Will have to get the dresses first they may be like the influencer’s bras where they have to take the padding out.

This isn’t like a simple hem I suppose but I think it is doable.

If you did it with this one, I’d make it into a mini skirt, then alter just about all of the top. The waist may be really small, so if you haven’t a small waist you could alter the waist by altering the top.

You could make another dress out of the waste.

You could be potentially getting 6 glamorous evening gowns with this. You wouldn’t have to try so hard to look good in them, the servant dress would do the work for you.

the link below leads to where to purchase the wedding dresses.

You might feel more comfortable clubbing in these dresses then.

Film review

Starts off promising, (partly because of the cast starring in it), but with a really disappointing end.

Wouldn’t recommend apart from the film fashion idea of what to do with the wedding dress haul.

But this is only my opinion, so I posted it on Pinterest tv.

This picture sums up the disappointing end.

Put the link below as can’t find it for sale anywhere, also you may agree with what other critics are saying.
