TV FASHION/Armchair Cinema 2 Suspect

A Russian stye fur hat

The actress has piled it on top of her fringe, rather than pulling it perfectly neat. Think she looks stunning. The fur colour suits her seasonal colours. Caramel.

Silver lurex little top, short sleeved.

Even though she is crying, really like her makeup and she has made her hairstyle pretty by pulling out strands.

Think this is a variation on a 50’s backcombed beehive hairstyle,

Thnk I wouldn’t opt for such a large fur hat, don’t like the fabric on top.

Love this white lace top. This is timeless because you can style it with something on trend to make it up to date. Love the idea of giving it an old fashioned twist with a victorian broach. Would buy a new broach to keep it trendy. Would either buy it or have it made for me.

Sort of like her hairstyle, but she would have to go to Guy hairdressers to get it to suit her better. She is so pretty, maybe the wringlets should be longer. Would have to study this.

She is wrapped up nice and warm and getting out and about and enjoying the snow with her children.

This is the 70’s tribal look inspired by traditional African villages. The actress has made it a statement piece by wearing it with a simple black outfit. Her hair is worn down with this look.

The film fashion

Fur hat

Went for black and white as they are winter colours.

If I look like I’m going to a fancy dress party, won’t wear it. If it looks good, will wear it.

Found some fur hats at Temu, choose the ones for your seasonal colour.

This is a good price to pay, you can play around with it, if it looks awful, you could just wear it in bed.

What you really need to do is go shopping round loads of shops and see if there is one that suits you. This is a cheap way to play until shopping comes back.

This hat could be from Korea which means it might be too small for western women or women with thick hair. It could fit though? who knows these days.

If you have a sewing machine you could alter it, not sure how as can’t tell what it is.

The silver lurex top

Sequin Chiffon Layered Knit Top

Not even sure what this is, but the top the character is wearing is just for round the house, guess she is trying to look fairly smart though.

Think I’m 12 – 14 at the top and size 8 at the hips?

haven’t got a clue what this will be.

Hopefully edit this look if the highstreet comes back.

You could tuck the flap in or hem it depending on the length of the jumper?

The white lace Victorian antique blouse or dress

I don’t do antique any more, if you do there looked to be a lot more options. Have to say I have watched this program a few times and always loved this look.

Here are my findings:

Women’s Blouse Lace

Found this blouse, had to order small even though I’m possibly size 10 in old sizes

It could have a ballerina waist.

If it is plus sized, would look like the one in the program that is too big for the actress. You would have to wear the broach at the side or put in invisible buttons. Think the pearl ones might be too much? You could save them for something else.

Found this wedding dress:

lace wedding dress

Thought outside the box with this.

It might actually be a victorian wedding dress that she is wearing in the play. We did a project like that at art college.

As wedding shops seem to be the only buisnesses that have survived covid, thought I’d have a look, just in case.

This also doubles as just a nice white dress, can alter it easily if I get my sewing machine.

Here it looks a similar shape to the authentic victorian dress I altered at university, actually she told me not to alter it as it was an antique.

freemans.com/products/Kaleidoscope-Ivory-Lace-Dress

If it is too big, will be very like one in program, needs some frills sewing on maybe.

If it is stretchy fabric you could take it in up the sides so it is tight, then make a straight hem. You’d have to gather in the bell end sleeves.

Then wear it with heels – would make a Gina G dress.

If you are planning to get married, this dress may be of interest.

No one would outdo the bride in this.

You could wear this again and for the price doesn’t matter if you alter it yourself.

I love white lace.

You could sew frills, beads allsorts on this, daisies even like Film fashion/Cries Unheard: The Donna Yaklich Story (1994)

You could alter the neckline.

Really hope this dress comes up ‘allright’!!!

The model is in first position though?

Could be a ballerina waist?

During slimming calendar last year I lost a stone in weight, yet I come up as a size 14 in this?

Order it for your largest measurement as it is harder or impossible to take it out, then to take it in.

You would maybe have to fake tan your legs, unless proper size tights came back?

Have tried every probibilty I can think of, (probably behind everyone else at trying this idea), all of them are really small and weird, even extra extra large?

Maybe there is a shop somewhere we don’t know about?

Are you also considering wearing a dress and tights when your leggings finally split, too cold not to wear tights.

Lace Blouse

Yellow

This is really different to the one in the film, but I thought it had the same pretty feminine feel. You could wear something under it, or use a broach to make a higher neckline. It goes well with white.

Cream Logo

Long Sleeve Lace Blouse

This one isn’t white, but similar to the one in the film, you could sew lace frills on it and wear a broach.

There are more expensive versions of this, but I particularly liked the lace look.

About Us

Pebble began as an excuse to spend lots of time exploring India, and our first collections used facetted and tumbled semi-precious stones we sourced throughout the country.

Nine years later, and our travels now include India, China, Africa, Thailand, and South America, and we have expanded the collections to include metals, stones, wood, glass, coral, and amber.

We also use ancient excavated beads and glass trade beads produced in Europe in the nineteenth century.

Traditional tribal jewellery is a big influence, as is our love of natural materials, and we try to keep our designs as simple as possible, in the belief that you cannot improve on nature.

Pebble also sources traditional pieces from tribal groups in Africa, the Pacific, China, Afghanistan, Nepal, and India.

Over the years, we have worked with, or sold to many fashion designers, including Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Cavalli, Issey Miyake, Mathew Williamson, Emilio Pucci, Allegra Hicks, Joseph, Nicole Fahri, and Donna Karan.

We hope you enjoy our website.

You need to browse this website yourself really and choose your own tribal necklace!!!

Play review

Armchair Cinema 2

Suspect

Found this randomly on you tube. Think it is an episode from a series.

The subjet matter isn’t very pleasant.

It is very well acted though.

Acting from this period in history is a lot different from today. Really enjoy watching plays like this to see how different it was. As I’m really into design, love looking at the historical design.

A proud woman coldly concentrates on keeping up appearances when her 50-year old husband and a young schoolgirl go missing at the same time.
