As a normal average woman I live a fairly average lifestyle and want to be economical with my spending. Have reached a point in life where I can afford to shop, but want to buy things I like.
Have started getting out and about a bit after covid and a long term illness. Am allright at the moment in my four year old sketchers, but are worried about what to wear when winter comes. Tried wellies a few years back and struggled too much with them. Then bought some proper hiking boots and my mum laughed at me as they weren’t trendy.
As I don’t hike or walk off the path in rough terrain need to go on a winter boot journey and find the right boot for me.

The current trend for stand out boots is a bit wacky for me. To be honest I prefer to blend in. Also my feet are quite big in comparison to my height so I have to be quite careful.
So far have found:
Ones with fur on the edges, made that mistake once, they were knee high boots with fur on the edges, looked awful on me.
flat soled waterproof boots, been wearing some flat shoes and as I have arched feet they are really painful. Will be walking in them so they need to be comfortable.
Just purchased some sketchers walking boots. Hopefully they will get me through winter if I can’t purchase anything else.
Noticed some padded knee high boots I fancied, they were flats though. If I found some with an archfit They would be more comfortable than wellies, be great for walking in snow and pass the trendy test.
Decided to keep checking in the sales and on discount internet shops.
If the post starts working and I recieve them all, decided you can never have too many sketchers, especially if you walk or exercise a lot.
Used to do 10,000 steps a day, would really love to get back up to this fitness level, that was when I discovered sketchers as I basically lived in sportswear.
Sent for a stepometer ages ago, suppose it would be a good idea to try again.
Desperately need some walking gear also.
The ones that come up small aren’t any good for me, so not sure where to purchase western sized regular leggings and joggers?
Will keep shopping and recommend any successes.
