Practicing purchasing seasonal colours in the sale and budget shops/jumping on the bandwagon

Seasonal colours are big at the moment. They sound simple to do but they aren’t. When I started I ended up going for black and white as I couldn’t remember the colours in my mind when shopping. Now I use the winter colour segment of the seasonal colour chart to check for the right colours.

It is possibly best to go to an analyst and get it done properly, if you can afford it. What I’m doing is sort of guessing from a wheel I found on google. The colours are therefore not accurate, but purchasing colour online or in a catalougue isn’t accurate either. You can’t therefore be a perfectionist about it. I suppose it is like buying from Avon or La redoute pre covid.

As I’m not sure what has happened to the highstreet and my hobby is shopping, had an idea to practice purchasing seasonal colours in the sale or at bargain shops. This way if I make mistakes in fashion or colour at least I’m learning and not wasting toomuch money. The more you practice seasonal colours I would presume they will stick in your head, then when the high street comes back you won’t have to carry fabric swatches with you.

This blouse is a best seller so thought it was worth a try. The model looks good in it, but the blouse on its own doesn’t look that good. If everything is going online it would need to be sold how catalogues used to work to succeed. I’d just given up shopping till I thought of this idea. Mis – selling clothes doesn’t work.

What is an example of mis-selling?

wrongly saying you need to buy extra things to make the most of your product. exaggerating what the product can do compared to other products. advertising something as reduced or a sale item when it wasn’t ever sold at full price. keeping important information about the product or service hidden or obscured.

Not being funny, but since covid this has happened to me a lot with clothes. Not sure how this is happening on the high street?

If this blouse doesn’t fit and I get my sewing machine will turn it into something else, not sure what yet, will need to receive it and see what it actually is first.

Really like these, not sure if the colour is right, but close. Will wear these in summer, wouldn’t of gone for this colour before.

Really like these two and love the colour. Really useful, the headband could even be used when altering garments. Nothing need be wasted. Not how I want to shop, but I need to shop as the only clothes I have left are either falling apart or too small.

This wasn’t in the sale. It has gold fastenings, and I should only go for silver. Designers don’t use seasonal colours though so this is where you can’t always be a perfectionist. Not sure if it matters that much anyway? personally I’m just doing it because I’m bored and want to go shopping again.

Men can still have football so why can’t women have shopping?

Hope this inspires you and hope shops read this and start selling properly again.
