Film fashion/The night they took miss beautiful

This film is definately a lost classic. Remember watching it before. Well worth a watch if you have never seen it.

film synopsis:

Criminals hijack an airplane that not only carries a dangerous organism that is to be used in bacterial warfare, but also five beauty contest finalists.

Reminds me of a friend I had that entered the local newspaper beauty contest. We were all really surprised when we found out, as she wasn’t like that. The one that won was really ugly. It wasn’t just us supporting our friend either, the whole town commented on it. Previous to her, all the beauty Queens just did what it said on the tin. This one really stuck out and just went round causing havoc and ruining all the newspaper event photos. She is still in archive, found a photo of her next to one of my old friends on her school photo. Looking back my friend was probably too young to enter as she was still at school. The one that won came from the local prostitute district. If you put two and two together maybe all the local gossips were right. Maybe that was why my friend went pale when we asked her about the contest?

This film is brilliant, not sure why they don’t show it still?

It is an obvious film fashion choice so will blog up the clothes.

This style top is really nice and guess it would suit everyone. Needs making in short, regular and long. size six and above.

Some halterneck tops. La redoute used to sell these before it went rubbish. They are great little tops to pack in suitcases when you are travelling.

Stella stevens in classic white blouse and white trousers. Love this outfit it is both casual and stylish. You can’t purchase blouses at the moment for some reason? If you can sew you can alter shirt dresses into blouses. They are really poor quality, but much more comfortable than the shirt dress thing?

We made a blouse like this at school as well. Loved it. You could choose quality fabrics in those days, (pre covid), this blouse looks expensive.
